Blue Missile hovered around the $5.50 mark for most of the day before jumping at $6. Rachel King took the son of Smart Missile straight to the front and the pair were never headed.
Texas Storm ($13-$6.50) halved its quote on the day and nearly pulled off a nice betting move while Philispburg ($7.50-$5.50-$6.50) ran up to the support for it in finishing third.

It was left to Aegon, which got out slightly in the market, to land the money in the Group Two after its price went from $3.60 out to $4.60. Despite that, he was still the third best tried runner in terms of money held behind Peltzer ($2.80-$2.90) and North Pacific ($4.20-$3.20-$3.40). The trio were the only runners to hold six figures.

Godolphin’s Lackeen was smashed in the final 10 minutes of betting, going from $3.90 into $2.80. Such was the ferocity of money that came for Lackeen that it displaced Wheelhouse for favouritism.
Wheelhouse was $4.80 this morning and then $3.80 before firming into as low as $2.40. The Chris Waller galloper then got back out to $3 due to the weight of money that arrived for Lackeen.
