Legacy Stakes Information

The Queen Of The Turf Stakesย also known as the Legacy Stakesย is the feature race for the mares in Sydney for the Autumn Carnival. It is held at Randwick racecourse each year over 1600m and is a highlight of the second day of the Championships.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $1,000,000 and is at set weight conditions for fillies and mares.

The 2020 Queen Of The Turf Stakes will be run on Saturday the 11th of April, 2020ย at Randwick racecourse.

The Queen Of The Turfย  is perfectly placed during the Carnival. It follows on from the Coolmore Classic and the Emancipation Stakes and it gives mares a chance to follow up from running in the Doncaster seven days prior.

Favourites have a fantastic record in this race, winning seven of the last eleven, though the last three winners of the race have started $10 or better.
