The Darwin Cup Carnival takes place at the Darwin Turf Club in Fannie Bay and is the highlight of the Northern Territory racing calendar.
Dubbed the event of the dry season, the Darwin Cup (2000m) is the feature event of the carnival.
Other feature racedays include Palmerston Sprint day, Metric Mile day, NT Derby day and Darwin Guineas day.
While racing in the NT isn’t of the quality we see elsewhere in Australia, it’s a highlight for the region and is considered to be a pilgrimage for many racing fans across the country.
