16 Castle Cover (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a horse of promise and am keen on him here in the opener. He resumed with a bang at Chester, getting back off speed before being angled for clear air and he made a mess of them late to win in such impressive fashion. Horse on the up, I like him a lot here.

15 Jolly Jack Tar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) also comes here as a first up winner, his victory coming at Chelmsford when on speed and was trucking before being clicked up and he was sharp. Good test here but think he can measure up.

13 English Oak (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable with his best. He ran over the mile at Hamilton last start where he was tardy away, which pretty much sealed his fate, but didn’t mind his finale in defeat. Not sure he wins, but can run top four.

1 Zavateri (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good mover and I don’t see going to 1400m being an issue. 2/2 to start his career, both coming over 1200m. Latest run came at Newmarket where he got back, angled clear and let down with purpose late to win and win well. Extra ground is fine, he’ll take beating I say.

4 Dorset (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here for Aidan O’Brien off the back of a maiden win at Curragh, leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win impressively. Bred to be a good one, he’s progressive, building nicely…leading contender.

2 Andab (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after racing over 1200m in the Coventry at Royal Ascot where he got back off the speed and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Extra ground is fine, he appeals.

5 Lake Forest (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me. Golden Eagle winner who hasn’t quite gone on with it since that win, but last start was a forgive/forget. He ran in the Criterion at York where he got too far back in the run and was never really a factor. If he can be within range, he certainly has the finale to take this out.

4 Kinross (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run in the previous four editions of this race, winning in 2021 and 2023 and placing in the other two. He resumed over this trip at Haydock and kept finding the line in a really good return. Set for the race, he appeals.

2 Audience (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an arrogant winner in this race last year, beating Kinross, so on that factor, she appeals. She resumed in the same Haydock race mentioned above when back off the speed and never really got involved. If she brings her best, she appeals.

3 Illinois (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one. Like several key chances here, he comes through the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot where he battled away really well in defeat but was clearly no match for Trawlerman. Back to two miles looks ideal and he only has to hold his form to be the one to beat.

8 Scandinava (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a stablemate of Illinois who is the one on the up. He comes here off the back of an arrogant win at Newmarket in the Bahrain Trophy where he got better as the race went on and was quite dominant late, winning by a space. Good test, but confident he measures up.

6 Sweet William (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a distant fourth in the Ascot Gold Cup. He tried hard but the trip was a bridge too far and he just whacked in the run to the line. Has run well in this race previously, he is a must for exotics.

7 Twilight Jet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in what is a dartboard job. He ran over 1200m at Epsom last start where he attempted to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front but ws nabbed late. Like him back to 1000m and with that racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

1 Shagraan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and has to be respected. He placed over this trip at Sandown a few weeks ago, settling off speed, but was good late. If within range, he has teen finale to score.

2 Enchanting (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hit and miss but his best is good enough. He was too bad to be true at Ayr last start, finishing last, which followed an impressive first up win. Off that run, he’s well and truly in with a shout here but watch betting.

9 Naval Light (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He comes through the Norfolk at Royal Ascot where he was slow to begin, which pretty much sealed his fate, but I liked the way he kept finding the line in defeat. Up to 1200m, drops big time in grade/depth, he takes beating.

13 Stellar Sunrise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the two 1200m lead ins under the belt so the grounding is there to say she’ll run well, as seen at York where she got back off the speed and kept chasing when third. Leading contender.

2 Bayraq Almuhamadia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. He is on debut and while on breeding, there is nithjh to jump up and down about, he has been well specked in early betting, suggesting he might be showing something at home. Keep watching the market and see if that push will be sustained.

9 Dash Of Azure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat here I say. She comes through the Sandringham at Royal Ascot where she got back off speed and stayed on we’ll enough in defeat without really threatening. Better suited here, she appeals.

8 Zgharta (Bet Now:  $SP.00) also comes through the Sandringham. She was slow to begin and got back to near last and while she was never winning, I thought her finale was pretty good. Of she jumps clean and can be within range, she’ll be hard to hold out.

2 Queen Of Atlantis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since resuming over the mile at Ascot. She settled off speed before being presented clear air and worked home really well in defeat I thought. Better for the run, she’s in the mix.

6 Shallow (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me in the get out after a last start win over this trip at Newmarket. She chased the speed and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she knuckled down late and was impressive. Hard to beat against these I say.

1 Dubai Treasure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited back to 1200m after racing over 1400m at York last time out where she got quite keen in the run and all that energy burned took away from her finale. Back to 1200m, more genuine tempo, she appeals.

3 Harvanna (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after a narrow second over 1100m at Chester. She was nailed as the winner when presented but just couldn’t quite see it through and was nabbed late. First four threat.
