Zardoro landed some good bets in taking out the TAB Highway (1100 metres).

The Terry Robinson-trained runner was a $13 chance in the morning and constant support throughout the day was it start a $6 chance.

Settling midfield, jockey Tim Clark tracked up the leading brigade and waited patiently for a gap to open in the straight. Once it did, the gelding sprinted sharply to beat Caprera ($7.50) and Sunlight ($21).

The race favourite Burning Crown, which did a stack of work on the speed throughout, was odds-on out to $2.40 and was a close fourth.

Burning Crown was easily the most popular runner with TAB customers, going around with well over half the investment on the race.

BETS: Zardoro $550 @ $7.50, $600 @ $7, $500 @ $6, $500 @ $5.50

Time To Reign caused a minor upset in the Chandon S Silver Slipper Stakes (1100 metres).

The colt was $11-$13 but came back into $11 by the time the race rolled around.

Forced to sit a little wide, jockey Jason Collett didn’t panic and let the son of Time For War stroll up to tearaway leader Cardiff on straightening.

Fighting hard down the straight, Time To Reign took all honours as he easily defeated race favourite Tassort ($1.85) which came from the rear of the field. Born A Warrior ($10) filled the minor end of the prize.

Tassort went around as one of the most popular runners on the day and held nearly three times as much as Faretti ($5).

BETS: Time To Reign $500 e/w @ $11/$3.90

BETS: Tassort $2,000 @ $1.85 MULTIPLE TIMES

BETS: Faretti $5,000 @ $4.60

Archedemus led all-the-way and was a popular result with TAB customers in the Ranvet Handicap (1350 metres).

The Gwenda Markwell runner had to absorb pressure from Oriental Runner before kicking clear to beat the well supported Star Of The Seas ($5.50), with Coterie ($6.50-$4.80) getting third in a favourable trifecta.

Seaway did the right thing by punters in the Schweppes Handicap (1500 metres).

Sent out a very popular favourite, Seaway ($1.70) had to do all the work outside the leader Mask Of Time but still proved too strong at the finish.

The Chris Waller runner held 52 percent of the total investment and was very popular through multis as well.

All Too Soon ($7) and Mask Of Time ($19) filled second and third respectively.

BETS: Seaway $5,000 @ $2.20, $3,000 @ $2.20, $2,000 @ $2.20

The Autumn Sun returned with a bang in the Group Two Hobartville Stakes (1400 metres).

Going out as a hot $1.50 favourite, The Autumn Sun held close to 80 percent of the money and was extremely popular through multi bets.

Settling near the rear of the field, jockey Kerrin McEvoy worked his way into the clear at the top of the straight and the pair had to work to get the result but nailed the leader Vegadaze ($4.60) in the shadows of the post.

Bondi ($7) held third after sitting outside the leader.

BETS: $40,000 @ $1.50, $18,000 @ $1.55, $10,000 @ $1.55

The heavily-fancied Baller fought hard to claim victory in the Spark Of Life Handicap over the 1100m. Spiritual Pursuit was the leader in the home straight but the Anthony Cummings-trained colt managed to run over the top to prevail in the final stages. Second-placed Spiritual Pursuit ($11-$17-8.00) had her fair share of supporters and didn’t go down without a fight. The favourite in the race, So Taken ($4.40-$3.70) was also very well-supported in the market but finished a disappointing fifth.

BETS: So Taken $900 @ $3.40, $400 @ $3.80.

BETS: Baller $1,000 @ $6.00, $1,000 @ $5.00, $650 @ $5.00, $15,000 @ $4.40.

It was blowout for punters when the massively priced White Moss ($51) cruised to victory in the 1300m Millie Fox Stakes. The Jason Coyle-trained mare opened $61 with TAB and Kathy O’Hara again opted to lead and this time managed to cling on for victory. The heavily-backed favourite I Am Serious ($3.40 in to 2.80) tried hard to run down White Moss but had to settle for second place. The Godolphin-trained Savatiano finished in third and drifted out slightly on race day ($5.50 to $6.00) but did open $8.50 on Wednesday.

BETS: White Moss $200 x $300 $61/$11, $200ew @ $51/$9.00, $250ew $51/$9.00.

BETS: I Am Serious $3,000 @ $3.50, $1,000 x (3) @ $3.50, $2,000 @ $3.40.

Red Cardinal landed a huge move after it opened at triple figure odds in the Parramatta Cup (1900 metres).

The Kris Lees runner was $101 with TAB on Wednesday and was still as much as $51 today, however, constant support saw it start a $26 chance.

Red Cardinal was near the tail for most of the race before weaving through the middle of the pack and finishing too well for stablemate Big Duke ($26-$18), which was also specked in betting.

Age Of Fire ($16) rounded out the trifecta.

Samadoubt ($4.40-$3.80) went around as favourite but weakened out of it after leading while Gresham ($4.80) and Tangled ($6), both out of the Chris Waller barn, were next picks in the market.

Malahat ($8) ended the day on a high for Godolphin after winning the last race from Rosehill.

The son of Exceed and Excel carried some good eachway money and after sitting on the speed, overpowered the popular pick in Junglized ($3.80) which tried to come through along the inside.

Junglized went around as the most popular in front of All Too Royal ($4.80), She Knows ($8) and Camdus ($18) while Bandipur had admirers at the $6.50.

Sikandarabad defied the betting drift to land the money in the opener.

The gelding did a stack of work outside the leader Call Me Handsome, overpowering that runner in the shadows of the post with the pair finishing one-two at the finish.

Sikandarabad was $2 in the morning but blew out to $3.30 as TAB took a stand against the Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig runner.

The winner was easily the most popular runner in terms of money held, commanding 55 percent of the market.

Midterm, which finished third, was the huge firmer going $8.50-$4.40 on the day.

BETS: Sikandarabad $3,300 @ $2.15, $2,500 @ $2.15, $15,000 @ $2, $7,500 @ $2

Global Exchange ($11-$9) had some support late to take out the Heritage Finance Caulfield Autumn Classic (1800 metres).

Although not one of the popular commodities in the race, Global Exchange still held good eachway backing but Aramayo ($3.40) was by far and away the best supported runner and was more than twice as popular as anything else.

Global Exchange unleashed a big finish down the Caulfield straight to race away and win comfortably over Godolphin pair Cossetot ($5.50-$4.80) and Aramayo.

Of the others, Lunar Flare ($8.50-$3.70-$4.40) was well backed throughout the week but tired after leading for most of the trip.

BETS: Global Exchange $900 x $1,000 e/w @ $10/$3

BETS: Lunar Flare $5,000 @ $4.60

Jamaican Rain led throughout to win the Premier Signs Mannerism Stakes (1400 metres).

The Richard Lamming runner was $5-$6.50 in betting but never looked likely to be run down, as she held a comfortable margin over Naantali ($5) and Teleplay ($11) at the finish.

Punters came for I Am A Star ($3.80) on the day and she was responsible for just under half the total investment. She was as much as $5.50 earlier in the week.

BETS: Jamaican Rain $700 @ $6.50, $500 @ $6.50 TWICE, $500 e/w @ $6.50/$2.20, $500 @ $6 TWICE, $500 @ $5 TWICE,

BETS: I Am A Star $7,500 @ $3.40

BETS: Naantali $2,000 @ $4.80

Terbium was ridden aggressively by John Allen and it paid dividends for those that took the price in the Zeditave Stakes (1200 metres).

The gelding sat three-wide on the speed as Irukandji and Poised To Strike kicked up on its inside, however, he hit the front turning for home and booted clear to score the upset.

Most of the attention was on crack colt Zousain ($1.40) which held 80 percent of the money, making it one of the best tried runners across the country.

Working home from the rear, Zousain finished second but was never a threat to the winner while Yulong January ($8) was third.

BETS: Terbium $500 @ $8, $500 @ $7.50, $300 e/w @ $8/$2.40

BETS: Zousain $37,250 @ $1.50

It was a spectacular win by the favourite Alizee ($2.80) in the weight-for-age Futurity Stakes over the 1400m. The talented Godolphin mare did it tough out three-wide-no-cover and still managed to shake off her rivals. She was a popular choice with TAB punters backed-in to $2.30 before a late drift saw her climb to $2.80. Hartnell drifted as far as $21 dollars but was backed in to $16 at the jump. He loomed as a serious threat on the bend but could only manage third place. Alizee was clearly the best-backed runner in the race by TAB punters accounting for over 50% of the money invested. It was also an enormous effort from the unfancied roughie Malaguerra ($61) to run second.

BETS: Alizee $940 @ $2.70, $2,000 @ $2.60, 500 x (2) @ $2.60, $2,500 @ $2.50, $2,000 x (2) @ $2.50, $1,300 @ $2.50, 1,000 x (2) @ $2.50.

The Godolphin filly Lyre, trained by Anthony Freedman, was too strong in the finish and took out Victoria’s richest two-year-old race, the Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m). Lyre shortened in to $5.50 but drifted out to $9.00 before punters crunched her back in to $7.50. After settling well back in the field, it took an intelligent ride by Luke Currie to swoop over the top for an excellent win. The minor placegetters were both at big odds. The Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig-trained Lankan Star ($41) and the Chris Bieg-trained Free Of Debt ($34) finished second and third respectively. I Am Immortal was $11 in to $9.50 on race day and led the race but weakened to finish seventh. TAB also took a sizeable bet on Hawker Hurricane but drifted out to $23 by the jump and finished in 12th place.

Athiri was sent out favourite joint favourite with Loving Gaby at $4.80.

BETS: Hawker Hurricane $7,500 @ $14.

BETS: I Am Immortal $5,000 @ $9.50, $2,500 @ $9.00.

BETS: Lyre $1,000 x (2) @ $7.00, 500ew @ $7.00/$2.50, $750 @ $5.00, $500 x (3) @ $6.00.

Favourite backers were sent packing after Booker took out the Group One Oakleigh Plate (1100 metres) at double figure odds.

The Mathew Ellerton & Simon Zahra-trained runner burst through the middle of the pack midway down the straight, charging to the lead to beat Encryption ($19) and Eduardo ($5).

Booker went around at $17 but the main talking point was the $2.30 favourite Nature Strip which led and faded to finish towards the rear.

Nature Strip held over 50 percent of the market and was nearly four times as popular as anything else, with Eduardo easily best tried outside the fav.

BETS: Booker $500 @ $19, $500 @ $17

BETS: Eduardo $10,000 @ $5

BETS: Nature Strip $10,000 @ $2.30

Favourite backers left Caulfield on a high after the well supported Avilius took out the Carlton Draught Peter Young Stakes (1800 metres).

The James Cummings runner went around as one of the most popular runners across Australia, commanding nearly 70 percent of the money in the last.

After racing just behind the leading division, jockey Hugh Bowman found clear running and the gelding did the rest, powering to an impressive victory over Trap For Fools ($16) and Ace High ($26).

BETS: Avilius $2,500 @ $2.20, $2,000 @ $2.10, $5,000 @ $1.95, $4,500 @ $1.95, $3,000 @ $1.95, $2,000 @ $1.95 MULTIPLE TIMES, $6,000 @ $1.90, $2,000 @ $1.90 MULTIPLE TIMES, $3,000 @ $1.85
