Coolmore Stud Stakes Information

The Coolmore Stud Stakes is a Group l sprint distance race and is fast becoming one of the big highlights Spring Carnival. It is held at Flemington racecourse each year over 1200m.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $1,000,000 and is at Set Weights.

The 2019 Coolmore Stud Stakes will be run on Saturday the 2nd of November, 2019 at Flemington racecourse.

The Coolmore Stud Stakes is similar to the Caulfield Guineas in the sense that it sets up a horses career in the breeding barn, most notably the ill fated Northern Meteor.

You need a horse in form to win the race, with nine of the last ten winners placing at their last start.
