Star Of The Seas handled the heavy conditions best to take out the Catanach’s Handicap (1350 metres).
The Chris Waller runner had to endure a wide trip but that didn’t seem to worry Star Of The Seas (3.90-$4.20), which powered through the going to beat Mahalangur ($5-$6) and the leader Got Unders ($51).
While the first and second horses had their admirers, it was You Make Me Smile ($5-$4-$5) which actually held the most money in front of the winner while Safado ($3.40-$3.90) was the only other one outside the placings which attracted attention.
BETS: Star Of The Seas $1,000 @ $4.40, $2,000 @ $4.20, $1,000 @ $3.90,

Easy Eddie defied a late betting drift to get the cash in the Canadian Club Maurice McCarten Stakes (1100 metres).
The Joe Pride-trained runner was $4-$3.20 at one point in the morning but blew back out to its opening price today as there was money for All Over Bosanova, Fiery Heights ($7.50) and Trekking ($3.20-4.60).
Ridden out by Robbie Dolan, Easy Eddie hit the lead inside the final stages and held off She Knows ($10) to score narrowly, with All Over Bosanova ($9.50-$5.50) holding third.
Although the winner did drift in the market, he did hold and start favouritism after taking over top spot in the market from Trekking in the morning.
BETS: Easy Eddie $2,500 @ $4, $2,000 @ $4, $1,500 @ $4, $1,000 @ $4
BETS: Trekking $3,000 @ $4.60
Kiamichi (23) went around as the least popular of the Godolphin runners but proved too strong in the Harrold’s Magic Night Stakes (1200 metres).
Ridden a treat by Damian Lane, Kiamichi worked to the front and simply kept going to land the cash at $23.
Stablemate Athiri ($3.70-$4.40), which was one of the most popular horses in the race, tried valiantly to peg it back but faded to finish third as Crystal Falls ($51) rattled home to split the pair.
Probabeel ($5), not far off the placegetters, held the most money in the race while Villami ($6-$5) had good support along with Starla ($12-$7).
BETS: Athiri $2,000 @ $4.40

The Peter & Paul Snowden-trained runner jumped as favourite and held the most money of any runner.
Powering away over the concluding stages under James McDonald, Cosmic Force beat Born A Warrior ($5-$7) and Stronger ($15-$10-$11).

Punters were spot on in the Chandon S Phar Lap Stakes (1500 metres) as Verry Elleegant landed a stack of big bets.
The Chris Waller filly was smashed from $2.90 in the morning to start a dominant $2.30 favourite and was never in danger of defeat, hitting the front inside the final 300 metres before putting the field away.
Seabrook ($8) wound up second in front of Aristia ($7) which made ground from the rear.
The trifecta runners were easily the best tried with the other one that attracted good support, Zalatte ($5.50), finishing towards the rear.
Verry Elleegant held nearly 60 percent of the market and was nearly six times as popular as anything else.
BETS: Verry Elleegant $3,000 @ $2.40 TWICE, $2,000 @ $2.40, $2,000 @ $2.40, $2,000 @ $2.30 TWICE

The move for Red Cardinal which began earlier in the week paid big dividends in the Schweppes Sky High Stakes (2000 metres).
Red Cardinal had been $11 when the field was released on Wednesday and was one of the first horses backed. The Kris Lees runner halved its quote in the days after that and was still $5 this morning before jumping a dominant $3.70 favourite.
Settling in the back half of the field, jockey Kerrin McEvoy brought the seven-year-old wide on the turn before the pair overhauled the frontrunners for an impressive win.
Rodrico, specked at a price, was $19-$11 and wound up second in front of Goathland ($8). Outside of those, the Chris Waller pair of Brimham Rocks ($8.50-$5-$6) and Patrick Erin ($6.50) were tried as was Samadoubt ($5.50).
BETS: Red Cardinal $4,000 @ $3.70, $3,000 @ $3.70, $1,500 @ $3.70, $1,000 @ $3.70 MULTIPLE TIMES

Dixie Blossoms finally broke her Group One maiden with an ultra impressive victory in the Coolmore Classic (1500 metres).
Ridden quiet by Christian Reith, Dixie Blossoms ($19-$23) followed inside runs before peeling one-off and sprinting sharply to score over the Kris Lees pair of El Dorado Dreaming ($21) and Princess Posh ($41).
Although she always has support whenever she goes around, Dixie Blossoms (trained by Ron Quinton) was largely ignored today as most of the cash sat with I Am Serious ($5.50) and Jamaican Rain ($5fav). The latter was $9 on Wednesday and bottomed out at $4.20 today before drifting late. Between them they held 57 percent of the market.
Of the others, Alassio ($21) carried some healthy eachway investments while Moss Trip ($23-$9.50-$10) was the most significant mover in the race.
BETS: Dixie Blossoms $500 @ $23, $500 @ $19
BETS: Jamaican Rain $5,000 @ $5, $10,000 @ $4.20, $4,000 @ $4.20

Fifty Stars defied the late betting drift in the Hyland Race Colours Ajax Stakes (1500 metres).
The favourite was $2.80-$2.40 at one stage before going back out to $3 as support came for Seaway ($3.60) and Dyslexic ($9.50-$6.50).
Trained by Lindsay Park’s Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig, Jye McNeil had to get everything out of Fifty Stars which appeared flat chasing the leaders on straightening.
The son of Sea The Stars picked up Mask Of Time ($14) in the shadows of the post, with Dyslexic, which hit the front momentarily, splitting the pair in third.
Fifty Stars was a horror result for TAB as he was responsible for 58 percent of the market.
BETS: Fifty Stars $5,000 @ $3, $2,000 @ $3 MULTIPLE TIMES, $2,000 @ $2.80 TWICE, $6,250 @ $2.60, $3,500 @ $2.60, $3,500 @ $2.30

Supernova gave favourite backers the ideal way to ‘get out’ after it hit the line strongly to take out the ANZ Bloodstock News Handicap (1900 metres).
Out of the Team Hawkes barn, Supernova was $4-$2.90-$3 and carried over half the investment on the race, landing several big bets in the process.
Ridden by Brenton Avdulla, the pair overhauled White Boots ($14) in the shadows of the post to score comfortably with Jake’s Hill ($17) finding the line well for third.
Of the others, King Tomlola ($15-$9) was tried as was Desert Path ($4-$5) while Angel Of Truth ($11-$9.50) firmed up from double figures.
BETS: Supernova $20,000 @ $3, $3,000 @ $3, $2,000 @ $3 MULTIPLE TIMES, $3,000 @ $2.90

Punters were off to a rocky start at Flemington when the two heavily backed runners failed to run a place.
The Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour Trophy (1200 metres) was dominated by Clarice Cliffs ($1.95) and Just Hifalutin ($5.50). The pair were responsible for a whopping 80 percent of the market.
It was Swift Sis ($13-$17) though which handled the straight best to defeat Flying Krupt ($14) and Mamzelle Tess ($41) with Just Hifalutin close up in fourth.
Clarice Cliffs, which was more than twice as popular as Just Hifalutin, came down the grandstand side but that didn’t appear to be the place to be with the Greg Eurell finishing on the heels of the placegetters.
BETS: Clarice Cliffs $15,.000 @ $2, $9,000 @ $2, $5,000 @ $2, $4,000 @ $2, $3,000 @ $2, $1,700 @ $2, $1,500 @ $2, $1,300 @ $2, $1,000 @ $2 MULTIPLE TIMES, $9,000 @ $1.95, $5,600 @ $1.90

Favourite backers didn’t have much luck in the Autumn Trophy (1400 metres) with the heavily tried Jumbo Ozaki not getting out until it was too late.
Outrageous ($7-$12) defied the betting drift to lead all-the-way for Team Hawkes and Dwayne Dunn, beating East Indiaman ($6) which was wide throughout and Jumbo Ozaki. The fav was on the fence and didn’t find clear running until the final 200 metres but by that time the bird and flown. The Phillip Stokes runner was one of the best tried runners of the day and held 67 percent of the total investment.
BETS: Jumbo Ozaki $5,000 @ $1.95, $4,000 @ $1.95, $3,500 @ $1.95 TWICE, $2,000 @ $1.95 MULTIPLE TIMES, $2,000 @ $1.90 MULTIPLE TIMES
The rough results continued early on at Flemington with a dead-heat the result in the TBV Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (1200 metres).
Nothing could split Flit ($6.50-$9.50-$8) and Ready Set Sail ($26) as the pair were the two widest runners down the straight.
Flit had been one of the best tried runners earlier in the week when TAB had offered as much as $15.
While the Godolphin runner and Mick Price’s filly had attracted good eachway support, most of the attention in this race was on Talented ($2.70) which was $3.80 on Wednesday.
Talented was more than five times as popular as anything else.
BETS: Flit $2,000 @ $9.50
BETS: Talented $5,000 @ $2.70, $10,000 @ $2.60, $4,000 @ $2.60
Causeway Girl ($6) lasted in a tight finish to take out the Furphy Ale Trophy (1100 metres).
The Clinton McDonald runner had to be ridden right out by Damien Oliver as the pair got the bob on the line over the well-tried Thine Is The Power ($15-$12-$7.50) which narrowly missed out on landing a nice betting move.
Beauty ($7.50), one of the most popular runners in the race, held third.
Assertive Play ($4.40) held more than anything else and was responsible for just over a quarter of the market.
BETS: Causeway Girl $1,000 @ $6 THREE TIMES, $2,000 @ $5.50
BETS: Thine Is The Power $5,000 @ $8.50
The most popular runner in the race was Wetakemanhattan and he did the right thing by his backers by capturing the Grand Classic Final (2000 metres).
Stalking the speed and sitting third in the run, jockey Jordan Childs waited until straightening before claiming the leaders and putting the issue beyond doubt.
Wetakemanhattan ($4.60-$6) defeated the fast-finishing Dark Pearl ($34-$26) and El Don ($21-$11) which had been specked at the eachway odds.
In what was a fairly wide open betting affair, Bering Sea ($10), Scared Theme ($10) and Mieszko ($8-$6) had their share of support.
Prometheus scored an upset when taking out the Grand Mile Final (1600 metres) for trainer Matty Dale.
Sent out a $19 chance, Prometheus stalked the speed set by Red Crown and Gasworx and claimed the pair midway down the straight. Charging away from the rest of the field, he beat the well supported pair of Mr Reckless ($6) and Remember The Name ($7-$5.50).
BETS: Mr Reckless $3,000 @ $6
BETS: Remember The Name $7,500 @ $5
Punters were spot on with Widgee Turf in the Seppelt Wines March Stakes (1400 metres).
The Patrick Payne-trained runner was easily the best tried in the race, holding nearly three times as much as the next best supported horse which was Zebulon ($5.50-$7.50).
Settling just off the speed, Billy Egan produced the gelding on straightening and he simply overpowered his rivals, going on to beat Hellova Street ($5) and Streets Of Avalon ($6.50).
BETS: Widgee Turf $2,800 @ $4.60, $5,000 @ $4.40, $2,700 @ $4.40, $2,000 e/w @ $4.40/$1.80, $2,000 @ $4.40, $1,000 @ $4.40 MULTIPLE TIMES
Mystic Journey gave nothing else an excuse as she powered away to win the inaugural running of the All-Star Mile (1600 metres).
The favourite sat wide for the majority of the race but went straight past Alizee ($4.40) in the straight before holding off another Godolphin runner in Hartnell ($10-$12).
Mystic Journey ($4.20-$3.90), trained by Adam Trinder and ridden by Anthony Darmanin, had her share of admirers but wasn’t the most popular runner with that honour going to Alizee which held more than three times the money that the winner did. Happy Clapper ($4.40-$4) was the next best supported while Grunt ($13) and Hartnell held slightly more than Mystic Journey.
BETS: Mystic Journey $1,500 @ $4.20, $2,200 @ $3.90, $10,000 @ $3.80, $20,000 @ $1.60 PLACE

Mastering was a very popular choice for TAB customers in the final event of the day at Flemington.
The Mick Price runner was $2.60 favourite and held 60 percent of the total investment, however, favourite backers were left disappointed after Villa Sarchi took the money.
Villa Sarchi was specked throughout the day and firmed from $15-$8.50, landing a good betting move as it beat Spirit Of Aquada ($4.60) and Mastering.
BETS: Villa Sarchi $500 e/w @ $9/$2.70, $500 x $1,500 e/w @ $8/$2.50
