Mare set to Twist form around

Kris Lees trained Danish Twist will this weekend be looking to break a winless streak of 19 starts, the 6-year-old mare recording her last win in the listed June Stakes back in 2016, making it 4 on the trot.

Barring her current dry spell, the Dane Shadow mare still has 8 wins to her name from 34 starts, placing in a further 9. Certainly not lacking any class, Danish Twist has been placed 7 times in Group 1 company with a Group 3 victory to her name with plenty of starts at Group level to go with it.

Previous admirers will be hoping her luck returns when she lines up in the Group 3 Coolmore Dark Jewel Classic over 1400m at Scone, at the same track and distance in which she holds onto a 100% strike rate.

Danish Twist is in need of a serious turn around of form none-the-less, her last 5 reading 4 duck eggs and a minor placing in the Group 2 Breeders Classic at Warwick Farm.
