KEMBLA GRANGE

RACE FOUR

Dalaalaat saluted at eachway odds in a competitive edition of the Midway Handicap (1200 metres).

Opening the day at $12, the Nathan Doyle-trained gelding had specking and started at $10 but was overshadowed in terms of the betting by a few others.

Cobia ($4) held the most money while Barossa Rosa ($5.50-$6) had plenty of admirers also. Oxford Tycoon ($6-$7) held decent money as well.

BETS: Dalaalaat $500 e/w @ $12/$3.50, $500 @ $11

BETS: Either Oar $1,000 e/w @ $12/$3.50

RACE FIVE

Giannis was pretty solid for most of the day heading into the Drinkwise Dulcify Stakes (1500 metres).

The Chris Waller galloper was $6 in the morning and peaked at $7.50, which is where he jumped, with TAB initially going up $8 on Wednesday.

A son of Flying Artie, Giannis was the second most popular runner in terms of money held outside of the favourite Tiger Of Malay ($3.50-$2.70-$2.80) which shortened dramatically in the final stages of betting.

Overall, Tiger Of Malay held 40 percent of the money in the race.

Silent Impact ($4.20-$5) had some serious money riding on it and split the abovementioned horses in the holds. Of the rest, Hinged went $11-$9.

BETS: Giannis $2,000 x $1,500 e/w @ $7/$2.30

BETS: Silent Impact $1,000 e/w @ $5/$1.90, $1,000 e/w @ $4.80/$1.90

BETS: Tiger Of Malay $1,000 @ $3.30

RACE SIX

Entriviere was one of the better supported runners on the day and did the right thing by punters in the Coolmore Sheraco Stakes (1200 metres).

Although starting the day at $2.25, the damage was done earlier in the week when $3.20 was offered. She was the first horse backed in the race.

Jumping a $2.60 favourite, Entriviere held more than half the total investment on the race and was four times as popular as anything else.

Written Beauty ($6-$5-$6) and Marboosha ($11-$9) were best of the others.

BETS: Entriviere $10,000 @ $2.60 TWICE, $2,000 @ $2.60, $1,000 @ $2.60 MULTIPLE TIMES

BETS: Written Beauty $2,285 @ $6, $1,200 @ $5.50

BETS: Marboosha $1,000 @ $10

RACE SEVEN

Chat caused a huge upset when steaming home to take out the Chandon Theo Marks Stakes (1300 metres).

The gelding was unwanted in betting and went from a quote of $23 in the morning out to $34 at the jump. He was the least favoured runner in betting.

Big Parade, on the other hand, was sensationally backed and crunched from $2.90 into even money. Private Eye ($4-$6.50-$5.50) was soft but was the subject of a late rally.

BETS: Big Parade $2,500 @ $2.30, $31,000 @ $2.20, $10,000 @ $2.20

BETS: Madam Rouge $4,000 e/w @ $7.50/$2.10

BETS: Private Eye $2,000 @ $5.50

RACE EIGHT

Anamoe defied a big push for Remarque in the XXXX Run To The Rose.

TAB had the Godolphin colt as $3.10 favourite on Wednesday but this morning $2.50 was on the table. The trend throughout the day though was that he would drift and he jumped at $3.50 – putting him second pick behind Remarque.

The big push for Remarque saw him go from $4.40 this morning into as low as $2.90. He would jump a $3.10 favourite.

Despite being a drifter, Anamoe held far more money than Remarque but the pair were dominant in that regard and were responsible for 60 percent of the market.

BETS: Anamoe $1,500 @ $3.80, $4,000 x $4,200 e/w @ $3.60/$1.80, $1,200 @ $3.60

BETS: Remarque $1,000 @ $3.10 MULTIPLE TIMES, $1,000 @ $3, $2,500 @ $2.90

BETS: Stay Inside $2,400 @ $8.50, $2,000 x $500 e/w @ $8/$2.20

BETS: Converge $2,000 @ $5

RACE NINE

Count De Rupee was one of two horses TAB customers focused on heading into the Quayclean Handicap (1200 metres).

The Robert & Luke Price galloper was $3.60 this morning but lost favouritism after getting to as much as $4.40. A late rally saw the gelding come back into $3.60 favourite.

Emanate was the other one they wanted with Godolphin’s rep going $4.20-$3.70 fav before getting back out to $4.20 late.

The pair were the dominant runners in terms of the hold with just over half the money riding on them.

BETS: Count De Rupee $5,000 @ $4.20

BETS: Emanate $3,000 @ $3.80

FLEMINGTON

RACE ONE

Tooradin landed some decent bets in the TAB Long May We Play Plate (2500 metres).

The Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace-trained galloper went $3.70-$3 before starting at $3.20, holding 38 percent of the total investment.

Coolth ($4.80-$3.30) was the best tried to beat the winner and was the only other runner to hold six figures with TAB Fixed Odds.

BETS: Tooradin $15,000 $3, $10,123 @ $3

BETS: Coolth $2,000 @ $3.30

RACE TWO

Artorius was very costly after going down as an odds-on favourite in the Exford Plate (1400 metres).

One of the most popular horses all day, Artorius was responsible for 71 percent of the total investment on the race. He jumped a hot $1.50 chance.

Mr Mozart ($19-$14) was nibbled at the eachway odds but held a fraction of the money that the favourite did.

BETS: Artorius $5,000 @ $1.55, $3,000 @ $1.55, $2,000 @ $1.55 MULTIPLE TIMES, $3,200 @ $1.55, $2,081 @ $1.50, $2,000 @ $1.50 MULTIPLE TIMES

RACE THREE

Ranch Hand caused an upset when arriving in time to take out the Winning Edge Poseidon Stakes (1100 metres).

While most of the money was riding with Ingratiating ($1.85-$2.05-$2), Ranch Hand was specked throughout the afternoon and went $16-$14 on the day.

Ingratiating held four times the amount of money than anything else with Finance Tycoon ($3.10-$2.90) best backed of the others.

BETS: Ranch Hand $500 @ $15

BETS: Finance Tycoon $5,500 @ $2.90

BETS: Ingratiating $4,000 @ $2, $3,000 @ $2, $2,000 @ $2.05 MULTIPLE TIMES

RACE FOUR

Crystal Bound was popular all week so it was no surprise to see her take out the Cap D’Antibes Stakes (1100 metres).

TAB initially offered $4 about the daughter of Not A Single Doubt on Wednesday and today, she hovered around the $3.30-$3.40 mark for most of the afternoon.

Easily the most popular runner in terms of money held, Crystal Bound was a losing result for TAB after holding 31 percent of the market.

Dosh ($5-$7.50) was best tried outside the winner despite being soft in the market while Pretty Woman ($6.50-$5.50) had good backing over the past 48 hours.

BETS: Dosh $2,000 @ $6.50, $5,000 @ $6, $2,000 @ $6

BETS: Pretty Woman $3,000 @ $5.50

RACE FIVE

Favourite backers were sent packing once more at Flemington when Ayrton went down as a hot favourite in The Sofitel ($1400 metres).

Mick Kent’s stable star attracted big money despite being red figures, going from $1.60 in the morning and bottoming out at $1.45 at the jump.

One of the most popular horses all day, Ayrton commanded 60 percent of the money in the race and was heavily tried through multis.

Some of the bigger bets taken on Ayrton included a $50,000 wager at $1.55.

Harbour Views ($16-$26) only had light specking and was a drifter on the day.

BETS: Ayrton $5,000 @ $1.60, $50,000 @ $1.55, $10,,000 @ $1.55, $6,000 @ $1.45

RACE SIX

Turaath was one of the more popular elects heading into the Let’s Elope Stakes (1400 metres).

The Maddie Raymond-trained mare opened the day at $4.20 after good support during the week saw the opening price of $5 disappear.

Although attracting good money, Turaath got out to as much as $7 before coming in late to $5.50.

Instant Celebrity carried big money as the $4 favourite while Zou Dancer ($10-$7) was one of the more notable firms. Those two were the only ones to hold six figures with TAB.

Instant Celebrity held a tick under half the total investment on the race while she attracted more money than Artorius and Ayrton did in their respective events.

BETS: Turaath $1,500 @ $6, $1,000 @ $6, $1,000 @ $5.50, $1,500 @ $5

BETS: Instant Celebrity $3,500 @ $3.80, $2,760 @ $3.80, $2,000 e/w @ $3.80/$1.75, $6,000 @ $3.70, $3,000 @ $3.70, $2,000 @ $3.50

BETS: Zou Dancer $1,000 @ $9.50

RACE SEVEN

In a very competitive betting affair it was Splintex that was too strong in the Lexus Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200 metres).

Unfortunately for most TAB customers they weren’t in the corner of the Mark Newnham representative, who held a fraction of the money compared to the runner-up Away Game.

Splintex went $10-$12 on the day while Away Game ($6-$5) was heavily tried and went around as the most popular horse in front of Jonker ($4.60) and The Astrologist ($5-$7). Of the others Express Pass ($8-$7) was $14 on Wednesday and Front Page was $16-$14 on the day.

BETS: Jonker $4,900 @ $4.40, $2,500 @ $4.20

BETS: Front Page $1,500 @ $18

BETS: The Astrologist $3,000 @ $5

RACE EIGHT

The big push all week for Incentivise was spot on after he led throughout to win the PFD Food Services Makybe Diva Stakes (1600 metres).

TAB went up $11 ‘All In’ on Monday and once the final field and draw came out, punters could have still secured $7 on Wednesday. Since then the support for the Cups favourite was strong and today he went $3.60-$4.20-$3.90.

Easily the most popular runner in terms of money held, Incentivise was responsible for just over a quarter of the money in the Group One.

Mo’unga ($4.60-$4.80-$4.40) was next best tried while Aegon ($9) attracted good money at eachway odds as did Keiai Nautique ($11-$14-$12).

Of the rest, Tofane ($4.40-$3.80) ended up favourite after having consistent backing throughout the afternoon.

BETS: Incentivise $5,000 @ $4.20, $2,000 @ $4.20, $2,000 @ $4 MULTIPLE TIMES
