Toorak Handicap Information

The Toorak Handicap is a Group l mile race and is becoming one of the better and most exciting races throughoutย the Spring Carnival in Melbourne. It is held at Caulfield racecourse each year over 1600m.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000 and is an open handicap.

The 2019 Toorak Handicap will be run on Saturday the 12th of October, 2019 at Caulfield racecourse.

The Toorak Handicap is the second best mile race in Melbourne during the Spring, with the race providing a good lead in to the better mile race during Cup Week, the Emirates Stakes.

Four and five year olds have dominated the race since the turn of the century, winning on nine occasions.
