Schillaci Stakes 2020

The Schillaci Stakes is a Group 2 race for horses aged three years old and older and is held under weight for age conditions. It is held at Caulfield Racecourse each year over 1100m and is a highlight of the three-day Caulfield spring carnival.

The race was previously known as the Chirnside Stakes, before being renamed in 2000 in honour of champion sprinter Schillaci.

The Schillaci Stakes 2020 will be run on Saturday October 10, 2020 at Caulfield Racecourse.

The Melbourne Racing Club, now a joint Everest slot holder, announced in 2019 that they will host the Schillaci Stakes as a ‘win and you’re in” race for The Everest.

Caulfield hosts a number of feature races during their three-day spring carnival including the Group 1 Thousand Guineas, Toorak Handicap and Caulfield Stakes which take place on the same day.
