Grand producing mare Shantha’s Choice has died at Coolmore Stud aged 19.
The dam of super sire Redoute’s Choice along with fellow Group One winners Platinum Scissors and Manhattan Rain, Shantha’s Choice was one of the foundation mares at Coolmore Australia.
A daughter of Canny Lad, Shantha’s Choice raced just twice for a win and a second before heading to stud where she flourished.
Along with her three Group One performers she also produced stakeswinners Sliding Cube and Echoes Of Heaven while Monsoon Wedding and Superior Sateen were both stakes-placed.
