Racing in Victoria will head back to Flemington on Saturday for an eight race meeting which is headlined by the VOBIS Gold Ingot Stakes for two year olds with a total prize pool of $180k which is a great scheme for racing in Victoria.
The eight races on the card are all very competitive fields with what looks to be a great day for punters throughout with the track currently rated a Dead 4 all horses should get their chance.

Race One: Living Legends Hcp 1000m Form Guide
Back Me: Genteel is very good fresh which she is on Saturday. She has two easy trials to get her fit for the race and over the 1000m at Flemington she has run a very quick time.
Don’t Back Me: Lankan Rupee will again carry the big weight in the race and from barrier 10 against some horses who look much better placed with similar form lines its hard to have him in my selections.
Big Danger: Flamberge is coming out of the best form race, she looks to be very well placed and gets a good barrier. Looks the threat to Genteel.
Roughie: Walk With Attitude is a very good horse and she can fire first up here on Saturday and at $17 looks a great each way bet in the race.

Race Two: Riding For The Disabled Plate 1400m Form Guide
Back Me: Catered gets into this race very well rated and with the 2kilo claim of Katelyn Mallion she will be carrying just 52kg in the race. Thought she was very unlucky last start and can be backed confidently at each way odds.
Don’t Back Me: Not saying Lady Of Harrods isn’t a good horse but with 60kg and barrier 16 thee is no way you would be taking the $5 that she in the betting.
Big Danger: Later Gator goes into the race on the back of some very good form races she has drawn well and looks the horse to beat.
Roughie: Mybenz has good form around Unscrupulous and is currently a $21 shot in the race which looks very good value.

Race Three: Vobis Gold Ingot Stakes 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Tonyboy has had just the one run where he was three wide and did a lot of work to run a very gallant fourth in a good form race. Has had race experience now and should improve from that run and be very hard to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Washington Square looks to be under the odds because he is coming through the Il Cavallo form line which is yet to be proven so im happy to risk him at the odds.
Big Danger: Hard Stride has been very gallant in his first two runs and he will be right in the finish.
Roughie: Spirits Dance did everything wrong on debut and wasn’t beaten far. Has been given time to mature and a Peter Moody 2yo runner at $10 is always good value.

Race Four: Galilee Series Final 2500m Form Guide
Back Me: Shoreham is coming through a good form line race in which Kings Palace won although he is better weighted in this race as opposed to that race and i think he can turn the tables.
Don’t Back Me: Kings Palace beat my on top tip last start but at the weights here i dont think he can do it again.
Big Danger: Serpent is a New Zealand galloper who will be having his first start in Australia as with all of these international stayers they must be kept safe.
Roughie: Lighthouse Flame is coming out of a maiden race although i thought her win in that race was very impressive and the extra distance should suit here and could blow out the favourites.

Race Five: Lort Smith Animal Hospital Hcp 1600m Form Guide
Back Me: Bonaria was very unlucky last start in what i think is the best form race heading into this. If she got some luck she would have finished much closer to Lights Of Heaven who franked the form on Saturday.
Don’t Back Me: Callanish has been super disappointing this preparation and after his last run you cannot back him at his current odds of $5 despite this race being easier.
Big Danger: British General is such an honest galloper and never finishes far away from the winner. She is well suited in this race coming from higher class races and looks the main danger.
Roughie: Lidari is an imported galloper now trained by Peter Moody, as with any international you have to be very wary especially at the big stables. Take the $12 on offer to cover your bets.

Race Six: National Jockeys’ Trust Hcp 2000m Form Guide
Back Me: Garud went back and hit the line strongly in what looks to be the best form heading into this race. The extra distance will suit and i think he will be right in the finish at each way odds.
Don’t Back Me: Auld Burns has a good record at the distance although i think he is up against a very tough field here with plenty of up and coming stayers who should beat him to the line.
Big Danger: Goldoni impressed me with his run last start which showed he was looking for further and he looks to be well suited in this race.
Roughie: King Diamond went back last start and hit the line very strongly. Will be better suited by the extra distance and could finish over the top of them at double figure odds.

Race Seven: Yarraville Hcp 1000m Form Guide
Back Me: Winter King was a little disappointing last start in a tougher field. Happy to forgive that run and put him on top here again at good odds.
Don’t Back Me: Lady Melksham only just beat Chinzia first up at Moonee Valley. Chinzia has raced twice since and hasn’t impressed which makes me think that form may not stack up in which case im happy to leave Lady Melksham out.
Big Danger: Sharnee Rose beat Elite Elle last start who went on to brain them at Moonee Valley on the weekend. Looks a good form line heading into this race.
Roughie: General Truce will carry the top weight but gets a 2kg claim. Has had 18 starts over the distance for 5 wins and 8 placings so the double figure odds looks good value.

Race Eight: Community Raceday Hcp 1400m Form Guide
Back Me: Mecir is coming out of much better form races and should be winning this if the Hawkes team thought he would be competitive in those races.
Don’t Back Me: The New Boy has good form around the distance although has drawn barrier 19 which makes it hard for any horse to win from so im willing to risk him here.
Big Danger: Rugged Cross is a talented lightly raced galloper who won a good race at Sandown last start. Will improve from the run and should go close here.
Roughie: Mr Chard definitely wasn’t disgraced last start despite his finishing position. Looks to be better suited here and looks to be a horse to add to your multiples for some value.

Best Bet: Winter King is my best bet of the day despite the disappointing run last start. He meets the field good in the weights and is at double figure odds so you can bet each way with confidence.
Next Best: Mecir just looks a class above this lot and despite the wide barrier he will have to overcome if he is going to work through the grades into better races he has to win on Saturday.
Best Roughie: Catered is currently a $15 chance in the market and i think she should be at a quote half that price meaning she is very good value on Saturday.
