The Nsw big6 is on races 2-7 at Kensington on Wednesday. To entice punters, there is a $22,608 jackpot. Here is my $20 strategy.
Leg 1 – Very hard race to open proceedings. Put the field in and hope that a roughie gets home. I like Pass The Parcel in the race, but it’s that open that any of the nine can win without surprising.
Leg 2 – San Jose has the race experience and the good barrier. That will help immensely in these juvenile races. Shiso was very wayward on debut at Muswellbrook when beaten as a raging $1.30 favourite but she has since trialled nicely and looks ready to win first up. Also include Doctor Doom, Sea Gem and She’s Clean.
Leg 3 – Going to stand out Raffles Miss. Got to the line well last start behind Sophisticated Lass at Canterbury after covering a bit of ground. The step up to 1300m suits, the slow track won’t be an issue and the Schofield/Waller combo is on fire and looks set to keep on winning here.
Leg 4 – Cannot split Bereft and Good Value. Bereft was a good thing beaten first up at Hawkesbury before an ugly run at Scone. He has since run two solid placings in much harder company at Rosehill. He has his share of weight, but class will carry him a long way towards victory. Good Value is from the Mick Kent stable in Victoria. I have plenty of time for this one. He sat four deep last start at Cranbourne and looked the winner at the 200m before weakening late. One of those two should win.
Leg 5 – Littlelonhro showed plenty of ability on debut at Warwick Farm where he led and seemingly had the race won before giving ground late to finish a solid fourth. Has the experience now, should roll forward and prove hard to hold out. Include the two Waller runners, Sparton and Studious.
Leg 6 – Very poor race to finish off. I’ll leave it between Circle Of Power and Daytona Beach. Circle Of Power stormed down the middle to record a great win at Rosehill last start. He has always shown talent and the penny is starting to drop with him. Dayotna Beach really caught the eye last start behind Romanus when making up good ground. Looks perfectly placed here for Darley.
Leg 1: Field
Leg 2: 1, 3, 7, 13, 15
Leg 3: 10
Leg 4: 1, 2
Leg 5: 6, 10, 11
Leg 6: 3, 8
A $20 investment = 3.70% of the dividend if successful
