3 Overdrive (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. Neville Parnham trained mare that resumed over 1000m at Belmont when on speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Spicy Thang. Better for the run, looks to get a good run near the speed and she strikes a thin race.

8 She’s Capitana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town for Adam Durrant after a strong maiden win at Northam last start when off speed and trucking before angling clear and finished best to win and win well. Maps ideally and confident she can measure up.

5 Makwell Smart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the Spicy Thang race. He was wide no cover throughout and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite sustain the run and felt the pinch late. Better run in transit this time around, he can sneak a place.

7 Ninetymilestraight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. She ran third over this trip at Belmont last time out when off speed and worked home well enough in defeat when third to impressive winner Ladies Pro. Racing well, bursting to win and strikes a winnable assignment for mine.

1 Flying Frankie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance last Saturday when not getting the best of luck in the run and I think should have finished a touch closer behind Rolling Ruler. Back to this level, he can win.

4 Pembeton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing over 1200m at the Belmont midweeks when off speed and made up minor headway but was never really threatening. Like him back in trip and his best is good enough to be dangerous.

2 Lova Session (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the straight bat play for Adam Durrant. She comes back to 1500m after racing over the mile at Northam last time when off speed and worked home well enough but did seem to have her chance behind Hoba West. Has run well at the track/distance previously and Pike remains on.

5 Master Alex (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been flying at the Provincials and has earned a crack in town. All three runs this time in have come at Geraldton, winning two back before a closing second last start when off speed and surged hard late to just miss. Racing well and commands respect.

3 Allegro Sonata (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Universal Ruler that resumes. She hasn’t raced since May 10 over the mile here when down the track behind Snippy Sean. Not a noted fresh horse but has trialled well and fresh at 1500m signals intent.

5 Sea Of Galilee (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth a throw at the stumps each way for Steve Wolfe. Market didn’t want him when racing over 1500m here last start and while he was never threatening, I did like the way he finished his race off, looking like a horse that wanted more ground, which he gets here. He’ll eat it up and looks a big price.

7 Savvy Ruler (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the key chances for Summer Dickson. She ran second in the same race mentioned above when off speed and worked home with purpose late in a pretty good effort in defeat I thought behind Buthelazi. Hard fit, 1800m, she appeals.

2 Macho Arquero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing at Northam on Thursday when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a mini kick from the front but had no answers late for Berry Blast. Good racing style, hard fit, first four contender.

4 War Matters (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He ran over this track/distance last start where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he did close off pretty well and his late splits were more than sound in defeat. If he can get a drag into the race and be within range, he’ll take beating.

6 Monty Zoomer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came over the mile at Kalgoorlie where he led throughout to score. He was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Looks the leader and gets Pike.

2 Beejay Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 1800m after resuming over 1400m at Northam where he did early work to land near the speed and tried hard but first up, condition just gave way. Fitter, up in trip, he’s an improver at odds.

9 Savage Dancer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is short enough but there is a reason for that. She does look to have a bit on this lot. Gave them a start and a beating to win on debut at Bunbury. Spelled and resumed at Belmont when off speed and worked home well when second to Spicy Thang. Fitter and up to 1200m, good draw, upside, progressive…keen.

1 Awesome Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Awesome Rock that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since June 14 over 1400m at Bunbury when contesting the Raconteur and bumped into a smart animal, Opportunistic. Has a touch of quality, watch betting.

2 Gold Flakes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout at odds after a win at the midweeks at Belmont. She was on speed and credit to her, she was there to be beaten and yes, may have had a hint of bias in her corner, but she found and fended off. First four threat.

5 Strapping Prophet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming over 1200m at Belmont. He got back to near last in the run and made up decent headway late without threatening in a pretty good return when third to Spank Appeal. Like him up to 1400m and he will be stronger than most late.

8 Ladies Pro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps straight up to 1400m after a debut win over 1000m at Belmont where she got better as the race went on to win and win well. Straight to 1400m I find interesting but hard to knock the thought process of the stable.

3 Sports Talk (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver. He resumed over 1200m at Belmont where he was back near last in the run and made up decent headway without threatening behind a smart three year old Deltason. Might need another run, but has more upside than most.

9 Ourgirlcanrun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be top seed despite the 1400m query. She absolutely smashed the clock over 1200m at Belmont last start, leading throughout and she gave nothing else a look in to win so impressively. If the extra 200m is fine, then she is the one to beat.

2 Playin’it Sweet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the 1400m run under the belt, which holds her in good stead. She ran over this track/distance just under two weeks ago and kept chasing from off speed against the older horses when third to Asphalt. Back to her own age/sex, she clearly appeals.

11 Kazana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes straight to town for Susan Olive after a debut maiden win over 1300m at Northam. Not sure she beat much but she was impressive from off speed and ran okay time. Doubt she wins but could pinch a first four spot.

Pike in the last via 5 Dominatus (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Maiden winner at Northam last start, giving them a start and a beating but getting better as the race went on to win and win well. Not a deep Class 1 this and Pike sticking, he’s clearly the one to beat.

4 Real Serenity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after a first up second over 1400m here. She got off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good return when second to Pure Obsession. Fitter and up in trip, she’s in the mix.

1 Sir Duskin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to be in for a good prep and will love getting to 1600m after resuming over 1300m at Northam. He got back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose late in a good effort in defeat I thought. Gets in well after the claim, he’s a must for exotics.

BEST BET: Race Six Number 9 Savage Dancer

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 5 Dominatus

LONG SHOT: Race Four Number 5 Sea Of Galilee
