Moir Stakes Information

The Moir Stakes is a Group l sprint race and is a really good race in terms of shaping the Spring Racing Carnival. It is held at Moonee Valley racecourse each year over 1000m and is a great form race for the Spring.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000 and is at WFA.

The 2019 Moir Stakes will be run on Friday the 27th of September, 2019 at Moonee Valley racecourse.

The Moir Stakes Stakes is the ideal starting points for sprinters heading towards the Manikato (1200m) and VRC Sprint Classic (1200m).

Since the turn of the century, seven winners of the Moir have come through the Schillaci three weeks prior.
