12 Seychelles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the most obvious. She comes through the Oaks Trial at Flemington and it was well named because it was run at barrier trial speed, not really a contest. She landed second in run and finished second. Should be fine at the trip and can stamp her Oaks credentials here.

9 Scoop The Pool (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can stamp his Derby credentials with a forward showing here. He was a few weeks between runs when racing over the mile at Kembla last start. He got off speed and took a little while to wind up but was good late. Trip should be fine and has upside to come.

2 Dundonald (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is second up after resuming over the mile at Sandown where he got back in the run and made up some headway without threatening behind Enchanted Jenni. Fitter and up in trip, he’s a must for exotics.

9 Good Harmony (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning, Peter Gelagotis trained filly that is on debut off the back of some encouraging jumpout work and 1300m on debut tells me she’s fit. Blinkers on as well signals intent and J Melham booked as well, a rider the stable doesn’t often go to.

1 Fortune Link (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1300m after sitting on speed in a 1440m maiden at Geelong. He tried his guts out and for a few strides looked like he was going to win but just felt the pinch late. Like him back in trip, good racing style, he takes beating.

4 Highstrung (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over 1350m at Donald when back and wide in the run, and was never really a factor. Prior efforts were more than sound so I am not dismissing him.

4 Stirrup (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. With these sort of races I go to those who race at TAB meetings and have run well, which this guy has done, albeit probably not recently, but he has the form and you’re getting a decent each way price.

1 Rushford (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a strong winner at Berrigan two back before racing last week on Benalla Cup Day when back in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was pretty good in defeat. Better suited here, he appeals.

10 War Of Wisdom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a handy mare that resumes. She has done some nice things when racing at TAB meetings, albeit last prep ended with a down the track effort at the Picnics, but she was at the end of a long prep and perhaps needing the paddock. I think she’ll run well here.

11 She’s Got The Cash (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was kept safe in betting when racing in a 1400m Geelong maiden last start. She got back in the run and was never really a factor. I think the rise to the mile will suit and she had jumped out well prior to this prep.

7 Let It Beel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) commands respect for Moody/Coleman after racing over the mile at Sandown last start when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there behind Enchanted Jenni. Form reads well and this isn’t a deep maiden.

2 Money Wheel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for wider exotics. He ran over the mile in a Coleraine Maiden on their Cup Day. He had a suck run in transit but just whacked to the line. He has the 1600m run under the belt now though, which should hold him in good stead.

2 Coco Jen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top in what looks a two horse race. Matt Laurie trained mare that resumed two weeks ago over 1400m at Sandown where she tried hard but had no answers late for unbeaten mare Gold Medallist. Fitter and up in trip, she’ll take beating against these.

3 Global Eclipse (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Price/Kent trained four year old that resumes. He did nice things as a three year old, ending his prep with a down the track effort in the Derby, jumped out well and like him fresh at the mile.

5 Enchanted Jenni (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Lucy Yeomans trained mare that comes here off the back of a maiden win at Sandown when wide no cover throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she found to fend them off. Good test here, but think she runs well.

4 Sugar Coat (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here I say after resuming over this trip at Sandown when back and wide and although he was never a winning threat, his finale was more than sound in defeat. Better for the run, can settle closer, hard to beat.

3 Nation State (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth in the race mentioned above from Sandown. He sat on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite on with it. Good racing style and if the track is playing up/in, he’s dangerous.

7 Illuminance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has home track advantage and gets in well after the claim. She ran over 1300m at Sandown last start where she had the suck run in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish her race off. Maps well, she’s in the mix for multiples.

5 Geegees Gemstone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a great each way gamble here I suspect. Tassie raider that is now with Mark Walker and I have been quite taken by his jumpout work. Yes, likely spots them a start, but there is good speed here, so he’ll get his chance to launch late.

4 Klabel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given serious respect here. He was a tragedy beaten when resuming at Caulfield a few weeks back, getting badly held up in behind before eventually getting clear but by the time he did, it was race over. Good horse and the stable has a fab record when racing in Victoria.

3 Jigsaw (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for wider exotics. He resumed a few weeks back at Caulfield when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job when fourth to Tiger Shark. Not sure he is good enough to win but can pinch first four.

I reckon class is going to carry 1 Alma Rise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) a long way here. On face value, she was plain when resuming at Sandown but when they are coming home in sub 34, those in behind had no chance of getting involved. Much better set up here, she seems a big price.

4 Brave Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing well for Team Freedman. She has placed her past two, the latest over 1800m at Flemington when on speed and tried hard but had no answers for a Stakes class mare, She’s A Hustler. 2025m is the query but with her racing style, she’ll give herself every chance.

6 Jealous (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here second up after resuming over the mile at Sandown where she found them a bit sharp but overall, I thought she didn’t disgrace herself in defeat. Not sure she is good enough to win but can be entertained for wider exotics.

7 Shakib (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the get out. Henry Dwyer trained stayer that ran over 2400m at Geelong last start where he was a bit one paced when the sprint went on but he picked up and was pretty good late without threatening. He will want this to be a proper staying contest and if so, he’ll be one of the strongest late.

3 Flashlight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here as a last start winner over 2400m at Swan Hill where it was pretty much a barrier trial. They crawled in front, with this guy sitting on speed, and in a dash home, he was too good. He is lightly raced and heading in the right direction though so he commands respect.

9 Eye Of Epaulette (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in the mix for Dean Binaisse. She ran over 2000m at Mornington where seemingly getting every chance in transit but just whacked in the run to the line, suggesting a rise in trip will suit. Knockout hope.

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 7 Shakib
