It’s winter racing in Sydney, and it’s the launch of the Australian Turf Club charitable racing season at Royal Randwick on Saturday with longtime partner the ASX Refinitiv Charity Foundation.
With the Australian Turf Club and ATC Foundation host Racing for Good, ‘it celebrates the final Sydney meeting of the 2022-23 season with ATC racing awards for owners and participants.’
“We are thrilled to come together with partners and the racing industry to raise funds for a range of charities,” said Angela Belle McSweeney the ATC Foundation Chair and ATC Board Director.
“With the luncheon to be held in the Randwick Ball Room, it will be hosted by Renee Gartner, with entertainment by Vince Sorrenti, one of Australia’s most successful and popular comics.”
“Along with a parade of the retired Kementari, we are pleased Gow Gates Insurance is supporting this Racing for Good Event, ensuring that all funds raised make an impact in the community.”

The ATC Foundation and the ASX Refinitiv Charity Foundation are charity partner supporting Australian based children’s charities, and will be jointly raise funds and awareness on the day.
The ASX Refinitiv Charity Foundation has run since 1996, and raised over $36m for multiple charities through signature events and auctions which are renowned for their premium quality.
In providing corporate networking opportunities while engaging and rewarding staff, the Foundations charter sees predominantly supporting Children’s, Disability and Medical Research Charities.
In addition, the Australia Wide Markets Trading Day for Charity is 24 October, the ASX Refinitiv Charity Regatta on 1 December and ASX Refinitiv Charity Foundation Golf Classic is 22,23 February.
Since 2018, the ATC Foundation has provided over $1m to not-for-profit organisations and local community’s in and around Sydney racecourses, including charity business partners,
In addition to racing industry and volunteer groups it makes grants nationally to support charitable organisations that benefit the community across a wide range of sectors and endeavours.
