Sunlight won't line up in Saturday’s Group 1 TAB Classic
TAB Classic favourite Sunlight won’t line up in Saturday’s Group 1 TAB Classic, registered as the Robert Sangster Stakes, in Adelaide this weekend.
Sunlight had a 1000m-trial at Gawler on last Friday ahead of her anticipated start in the TAB Classic.
The decision not to run the 3-year-old was made after she failed to satisfy trainer Tony McEvoy in the days following the Gawler trial.
McEvoy confirmed this morning that the star filly would instead head to the paddock for a spell.
Sunlight is the $2.20 favourite in the sponsor’s fixed odds all-in market for the TAB Classic.
