A 1.6 per cent share in superstar stallion Zoustar has fetched a staggering $1.3 million in an Inglis Digital online sale that concluded on Wednesday afternoon.
Offered by part-owners Qatar Bloodstock, the share was snapped up by Bangaloe Stud in a hotly contested auction. Zoustar, who commands a fee of $275,000, covered 155 mares in 2023, cementing his reputation as one of the most sought-after stallions in the breeding industry.
“There are so many reasons why any major breeder or savvy bloodstock investor would want to take advantage of the first time that equity in this exceptional stallion has been made available at public auction,” stated the Inglis Digital advertisement.
This landmark sale highlights Zoustar’s immense value and the fierce demand for his services in the breeding market, ensuring his continued popularity for seasons to come.
