1 Tengun Tommy (Bet Now: $1.75) has to be the starting point. He was backed with confidence when racing two weeks ago at the Sunny Coast and the bets were landed as he got better the race went on. 1200m should be fine, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

2 Fearless Win (Bet Now: $10.00) ran third to Tengun Tommy a fortnight back. She was beaten for early speed but finished the race off with purpose. If she can settle closer in the run, she’ll be hard to hold out against these.

12 Cascading (Bet Now: $4.40) was an eye catcher at the Sunny Coast behind Tengun Tommy. She got a fair way out of her ground but worked home pretty well late when fourth. Better for the run and rising to 1200m, she is one of the knockout hopes.

7 Contilda’s Love (Bet Now: $7.50) didn’t do a bad job at the Sunny Coast a fortnight back, getting a fair way out of his ground but was good late without threatening. 1350m should be fine and this looks a race well within reach for him.

3 Puff N Harry (Bet Now: $11.00) was an impressive winner over 1400m at the Gold Coast last time, sitting just off speed and moved quite well when asked, drawing clear to win and win well. Confident he can measure up.

2 Detrimental (Bet Now: $3.90) steps up to 1350m after resuming over 1200m at the Gold Coast three weeks ago, settling near the speed and was there to win but first up, condition just gave out. Fitter and up in trip, good upside, he commands respect.

5 Fire Bomber (Bet Now: $3.90) is the straight bat play. He ran last Saturday over 1350m here, sitting just off the pace and loomed to win but just found one better in Navy Pilot. Back to 1200m is fine and this looks a race well within reach.

2 Moshulu Spirit (Bet Now: $4.20) is 3/3 this time in for Jack Bruce and is one of the hardest to beat. Latest win came over 1200m at Ipswich, knuckling down with purpose late to get the job done. Good test here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

11 Toro Chase (Bet Now: $16.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since June 17 at this track/distance when just off speed and battled late. Prior efforts were solid and overall, this is not a deep contest.

1 Connecticut (Bet Now: $14.00) steps up to 2000m after racing over 1800m at the Gold Coast two weeks ago, getting off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat. Like the rise to 2000m, proven metro performer and strikes a winnable race.

19 Benzino (Bet Now: $5.50) was game in defeat at Ipswich last time given the heat he copped in front and was entitled to knock right up but he kept on and was far from disgraced behind Firm Agreement. Good racing style, he commands respect.

20 Alfa Dundee (Bet Now: $41.00) has earned a crack in town, winning three on the bounce, the latest a dominant Gatton Cup triumph. That was over 2000m so he has ticked that box and with that in mind, is one of the hardest to beat and confident he can measure up.

5 Spirit Of Barty (Bet Now: $5.50) drew the car park in her last start which probably cost her the win. She draw a bit better here and should get a much better run in transit. Likely to sit just worse than mid field and if they go hard which I assume they will she will be having the last crack at them and should be hard to hold out.

2 Dragonne Rouge (Bet Now: $4.40) should appreciate getting to 1200m after resuming over 1000m at the Sunny Coast where she got back to near last in the run and was never a winning threat but I liked the way she finished her race off. If she can settle closer, she’ll take holding out now that the two favourites are out of the race.

3. Don’Tdoubthelady (Bet Now: $31.00) has been pretty disappointing this preparation but she has had to carry big weights which could be the reason for her below par efforts. She drops in weight here and has drawn a perfect barrier. If she can run up to her best she will be right in the finish at big odds.

1 John Rambo (Bet Now: $2.70) should take beating back to this level after racing in the Glasshouse two weeks ago at the Sunny Coast when off speed and kept chasing with purpose behind Arabian Rose. Back to this level, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

3 North Pole (Bet Now: $3.80) failed to finish last start so this is definitely a horse to take on trust. On his day he wins this easily but there has to be some doubt following his run at the Sunshine Coast. If he races to the best I can’t see any horse beating him.

6 Bluepinot (Bet Now: $9.00) was awful at the Sunny Coast two weeks back behind Balance The Books. He got into a decent spot in transit but just whacked late and was never a threat. Prior efforts were sound so don’t dismiss.

11 Break Free (Bet Now: $8.00) should take beating for Matty Hoysted after a third at the Sunny Coast two weeks ago, working home well from the back when third to Balance The Books. More positive ride, he takes holding out.

3 Beaux Rumble (Bet Now: $18.00) has been kept fresh since June 21 when an all the way winner at the Sunny Coast, leading throughout and giving nothing else a look in. The end of 1200m at this level is a query but with his racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

9 Electric Arrow (Bet Now: $61.00) has been knocking on the door for a win this preparation and despite this looking a harder contest she still represents a good chance at big odds. She will need a bit of luck from the wide barrier and a 3kg claimer on but with any luck she could be a blowout chance.

4 Yet He Moves (Bet Now: $16.00) is three weeks between runs since contesting the Tatts Mile at Eagle Farm when held but far from disgraced in defeat behind Sun God. Looks much better suited at this level and does have a strong track/distance record.

6 Express Payment (Bet Now: $6.50) gave them a start and a beating to win at the Sunny Coast two weeks ago, sitting off speed before coming with a well timed run to finish best. His confidence is up and rising to 1600m should be fine.

2 Rising Pacific (Bet Now: $14.00) was gallant in the Tatts Mile behind Sun God given he was keen in the run behind the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the job. If he relaxes in the run, he can take this out.

11 Social Outcast (Bet Now: $23.00) looks to be sneaky flying for Matty Dunn and he has a fab third up record so he’ll do me each way. He ran over 1400m at the Sunny Coast two weeks ago, getting a fair way out of his ground but didn’t mind his finale behind Express Payment. If he can settle closer, he’ll take holding out.

4 Daggers (Bet Now: $2.60) has been scratched from an earlier race for this and Tony Gollan often gets these sorts of decisions right. He jumped at a pretty short price last start and ran well without being as good as the market expected. Happy to give him another chance at the short price here where he is the obvious danger.

10 Eclair Awesome (Bet Now: $23.00) was a couple of months between runs when resuming behind Express Payment at the Sunny Coast. She got into a decent spot in transit but when asked for the effort, she just lacked race fitness. Fitter and up in trip, she only runs well.
