McDonald will be aboard Carl Spackler, a triple Grade 1 winner from the United States who was recently purchased by Yulong Investments. The talented galloper is set to contest the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes (1600m) on the opening day before making the move to race in Australia.

His manager Mark Guest has confirmed McDonald will return to Australia following his UK commitments, where he’ll resume riding mid-week in Sydney before heading to Eagle Farm for the Tattersall’s Tiara meeting on June 28.
