Jimmysstar will represent TAB in the $20 million Everest for a second consecutive year after securing the slot with his Manikato Stakes victory at Caulfield.
The Ciaron Maher-trained sprinter finished third behind Ka Ying Rising and Tempted last year.
“Jimmy was outstanding last year and his win in the Manikato Stakes showed he is peaking at the right time to be super competitive in the TAB Everest,” TAB’s head of commercial wagering, Brett Boyd said.
Boyd believes a strong tempo will suit Jimmysstar as he takes on the favourites again.
TAB is chasing another Everest success with Maher after Bella Nipotina won for the partnership in 2024.
Jimmysstar is the $15 third favourite, with Ka Ying Rising heading betting at $1.30 and Tempted at $6.
Yulong and James Harron are the remaining slot holders yet to confirm their representatives.
