Star galloper I Wish I Win, co-owned by Peter Moody and Mark Chittick, recently completed a trial at Pakenham, finishing third behind seasoned performers.
Moody, addressing concerns on his podcast Moody On The Mic, expressed contentment with the outcome.
“We were happy, he ran third beaten about three lengths over a 1000-metre trial.”
Moody revealed their strategy of pushing I Wish I Win in the trial to assess his performance, ensuring he was ridden at his peak.
“We were worried they were going to jump out and walk so we rode him up in the trial, rode him right at his top and he got a little bit tired late but pulled up very well.”
“We’ve got two weeks to have a couple of nice gallops to taper him into the T.J. Smith now.”
“He’s sound, he’s happy and he’s healthy – we’re pleased with where we’re at.”
With optimism surrounding I Wish I Win’s readiness, anticipation builds for his upcoming race.
