Star three-year-old colt Bivouac has opened as the odds on favourite for Friday nights Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley.
Bivouac drew the inside barrier after the Manikato Stakes field was released this morning which saw him shorten further from his even money all-in quote and with what looks to be a relatively weak field he has been installed as the odds on favourite at $1.80 and rightfully so.
The star colt is coming out of an impressive win in the Golden Rose and with Yes Yes Yes coming out of the race and winning The Everest on the weekend it’s hard to find a strong form race this Spring.
Bivouac was set to head to the Coolmore Stud Stakes but this looks a much easier task for the valuable colt.
The Bostonian is the only other runner in single figures at $6.00 after a good run in the Gilgai Stakes with Trekking performing well in the Everest making it a strong form race.
