Ten races will be run and won at Randwick this Saturday, with a stack of feature races on the card. The weather is fine, the track is soft (5) and the rail is out six metres for the entire circuit.

3 Impendor (Bet Now: $8.00) is a Matty Dunn trained gelding that resumes. His last run was Dec 3 when off speed and was close up in defeat when fourth to The Hamo. Bomb fresh horse and his trial work indicates he’s ready to go.

2 Bengal (Bet Now: $10.00) comes back to 1000m after racing over 1200m in the Highway here two weeks ago, getting off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat behind Lord Remlap. That form reads A1 for this and I think back to 1000m is more than fine.

4 Third Base (Bet Now: $34.00) is flying for Stephen Gleeson. He has won his past two, the latest over 1000m at Muswellbrook with sustained speed coming to the fore. Good test here but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 Barrengarry (Bet Now: $1.70) is very hard to beat after a first up win here two weeks ago in the Midway, sitting wide no cover throughout but he was far too good for them in the run to the line. Good upside to come and if that run hasn’t busted him, he’s a clear top seed.

15 So Rebellious (Bet Now: $35.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 1800m at Rosehill in the Midway three weeks ago, trying hard from just off speed but just couldn’t quite finish the job behind Proxima Dea. Back in trip should be fine and this is a race well within reach.

10 Agita (Bet Now: $27.00) is third up from a spell and should be at peak fitness. He ran over 1400m at Hawkesbury last start, getting into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Think the rise to 1600m suits, he’s a first four threat.

6 Franz Josepf (Bet Now: $12.00) is third up and should just about be at peak fitness. He comes through the race won by The Mona Lisa two weeks ago here, chasing in a fast run race and was far from disgraced. Hard fit now, hopefully a more gentle tempo, he’ll run a beauty.

7 Watson (Bet Now: $3.70) was game in defeat two weeks back at this track/distance, landing on speed and tried hard but first look at the mile, I think he just felt the pinch late. Has that run under the belt now, which should hold him in good stead.

9 Aberlour (Bet Now: $15.00) should just about be at peak fitness. She ran along at this track/distance last start and tried hard from the front but tired late. If she can harness her energy better, I think she’s a knockout hope.

7 Unleeshing (Bet Now: $4.20) should prove hard to beat rising to 1400m after resuming over 1200m here two weeks ago. Doubt she beats Decorum but think she finishes closer, getting held up early on in the straight but was good late when clear. Fitter and up to 1400m, she’s clearly hard to beat.

17 Night Agent (Bet Now: $4.20) is a key threat. He resumed behind Decorum a fortnight back here and was a real eye catcher from near last, closing with purpose to finish fourth. Good upside to come and rising to 1400m, he takes beating.

15 Alabama State (Bet Now: $19.00) is capable. He ran in the Decorum race from two weeks back, getting off speed and kept chasing when far from disgraced. Not sure I could back him to win but is one for exotics.

I am specking 13 Palmetto (Bet Now: $126.00), who resumes for John Sargent. He is better suited over a bit further I think but gee he has trialled like a rocket for the return. If he can get a dig in the ribs, settle on speed, he’ll run a beauty.

9 Althoff (Bet Now: $5.00) is humming for Chris Waller after impressive win at Rosehill where he has had to overcome trouble/bias but he’s been too good and impressive. Good test here but confident he can measure up.

10 Matcha Latte (Bet Now: $12.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming in the Show County where he lobbed on speed and was there to win but first up, just think condition gave way late. Fitter, up in trip, he’ll run really well I say.

14 Piggyback (Bet Now: $12.00) is humming for Ciaron Maher. She comes through the Chelmsford where the race shape was against her but you had to like the way she kept chasing and finding the line. Away from WFA, up in trip…is it a case of good luck beating her? It’s nearly a yes. Just whether she is wanting further than 2000m.

12 Juja Kibo (Bet Now: $6.50) is ticking along beautifully towards The Metropolitan. He has been kept on the fresh side since resuming in the Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury where he was wide throughout but I liked the way he kept chasing and finding the line behind Narbold. Tick over trial was great, fitter, 2000m…he only runs well.

3 Soul Of Spain (Bet Now: $4.00) is a must for exotics. I thought he was sneaky good in the Chelmsford, attacking the line pretty well late in the piece despite being in restricted room. Getting towards peak fitness and rising to 2000m, he takes beating at a price.

6 Global Goal (Bet Now: $7.50) is the Flight Stakes filly. Loved the way she attacked the line in the Silver Shadow when third to Pembrey. Tick over trial was strong, and going to 1400m and beyond, she looks really hard to beat.

1 Bangkok Hottie (Bet Now: $4.00) was ridden with intent in the Furious two weeks ago and that intent delivered in spades, winning impressively. She has versatility re racing style and should appreciate rising to 1400m. Leading contender.

4 Rachini (Bet Now: $71.00) was awful in the Furious but it was a race dominated up/in so the fact she was back/wide, she was never a factor. She can settle on speed with a clean start and had trialled super prior.

4 Autumn Glow (Bet Now: $1.16) aka Baby Winx picks herself. Been kept on the fresh side since the Winx Stakes where she lit up the track and was as arrogant as ever in winning, beating Sheza Alibi. She’s the best horse in Australia, by a mile IMO, and against this lot…good luck beating her.

5 Aeliana (Bet Now: $20.00)…no idea what to make of her Winx Stakes effort. Back last and was never a factor, but her late splits were good and I just think she was run off her legs. Much better set up here and really, with her absolute best, she runs second.

1 Ceolwulf (Bet Now: $15.00) is ticking along beautifully. He comes through the Chelmsford where the race shape was against but he kept chasing and was really good in defeat. Doubt he wins but he’ll have this run to top him off for the King Charles.

2 Joliestar (Bet Now: $4.00) is a gun mare and is one of the more dynamic gallopers in Australia when on the fresh side. She hasn’t raced since Royal Ascot where she ran her guts out and tried as hard as ever in defeat. Returns home, trialled well and has class on her side.

9 King’s Secret (Bet Now: $14.00) is a big improver from the Concorde. He just didn’t look quite ready in the yard and while he didn’t win, I thought he ran a beauty. Likely has eyes on better races, but I say he commands serious respect here.

I am very, very wary of 12 Flying For Fun (Bet Now: $41.00) here. I think you can easily make a case she should be a multiple Group l winner, winning the Sangster and Goodwood if the breaks went her way. She has smoked in both trials, she has 54kg, will sit off a brutal speed and we know fresh, how dynamic she is. She has to be in the finish for mine despite the rider booking.

18 Sylph (Bet Now: $4.80) each way in the last. Michael Freedman trained mare that resumes, having not raced since the QLD Day during the Brisbane Winter when far from disgraced behind Earn To Burn. I can see her parking off a hot tempo and launching late.

17 Amazing Eagle (Bet Now: $7.00) lands on speed and takes beating after a first up second over 1000m several weeks ago to subsequent Stakes winner Prima Bella, trying hard but condition just gave out. Fitter, on speed, take beating.

7 Nepo Baby (Bet Now: $23.00) is a Team Archibald trained mare that resumes. She last raced on May 16 when far from disgraced in the Bright Shadow at Doomben behind Cigar Flick. Looks to have trialled well and will be strong late, not dismissing.

BEST BET: Race Six Number 14 Piggyback

NEXT BEST: Race Two Number 2 Barrengarry

LONG SHOT: Race Ten Number 18 Sylph
