Sportsbet Australia have released their ‘catching the worm’ weekly segment and this week they focus on Tomorrow’s racing at Caulfield including the Blue Diamond Stakes where Sepoy is all the rage and the Oakleigh Plate.
Blue Diamond Stakes:
It is a spectacular day’s racing at Caulfield with no less than seven Group races, the main event being the Blue Diamond Stakes, the richest race for two year olds in Victoria. Sepoy is very short but barring bad luck he will win. History isn’t in his favour being ‘in the red’ but he is the best horse here. Hallowell Belle will get a better run than last time in and is the improver here. A must for multiples is Running Tall where the stable has been waiting to apply the blinkers for this race. Atomic is a fizzer and is the lay of the race. Given the early speed he could find himself mid-field back on the fence and that is not the place to be.

Oakleigh Plate:
The Oakleigh Plate (Race 6) is a much better race for punters albeit a tough one. There will be plenty of speed on with Solar Charged and Avenue cutting at each other and setting the race up for something else. Our traders think Undeniably has an undeniable chance. He is the best weighted here and when Solar Charged rolls off the rail on the home turn it will be “hello darlin†for jockey Corey Brown. If the right Star Witness turns up on the day he is the biggest danger but there is a question mark over him after his run in the Manfred Stakes. Catapulted was impressive first up but the weight he gives the others makes him vulnerable similar to First Command. Set For Fame is the best at odds. Caulfield, first up and Peter Moody is her recipe for success.

Futurity Stakes:
The Futurity Stakes (Race 5) looks an easy race for Sydney’s champion mare More Joyous but the skinny price is a worry. If she is going to be beaten then something like Doubtful Jack has to go forward and put the pressure on her right from the start
and keep it up all the way. This could then give King Mufhasa the run of the race and the kiwi is in ‘royal’ form back home. As usual Whobegotyou is the forgotten horse but our traders haven’t forgotten him, he is every chance to storm home and catch More Joyous on the line and represents a better bet than the favourite.

St George Stakes:
The St George Stakes (Race 
is where we find our ‘lay of the day’. Heart Of Dreams was mighty behind Typhoon Tracy but this time from barrier 14 he’s a risk. Our traders expect Spacecraft to land safely with Heart of Dreams jockey Damien Oliver crying “Houston We Have A Problemâ€. Spacecraft is now third up and while others may be thinking about the Australia Cup this is his race. It will be an on pace race with Lord Pyrus and Ginga Dude making it a genuine speed and expect Moudre to be a lot closer and improve sharply second up.
