3 Almighty Class (Bet Now:  $SP.00) brings the best form and if there is petrol left in the tank, he’ll take a power of beating. He comes through The Quokka where he was clearly outclassed on paper and was never a factor given he was back in an on pace domination. Back miles in grade/depth and back to 1000m, he’s clearly the one to beat.

5 Lexington City (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is finding it hard to win but that said, he is racing really well at the moment. He ran over 1100m here a fortnight back where he attempted to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick but couldn’t quite see it through, run down late by The Boss Lady, who would be $1.50 against these. Lands in front and will take running down.

2 Beads (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. Steve Wolfe trained gelding that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since March 10 at Albany when down the track behind Gemma’s Son after getting a sweet seat in transit behind the speed. He does race well on the fresh side and has a fab track/distance record.

1 Play With Desire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ready to win for Team Pearce. This gelding has been strong in two runs this time in, both coming here. First up was over 1500m before going to the mile two weeks ago and was very good late when second to Arnie’s Boy. He’ll love the rise to 1800m and hard fit now, Parnham sticks…hard to beat.

3 Profit Pocket (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is absolutely flying this time in and has to be respected. 4/4 this prep, the latest being just under a fortnight back when a dominant winner over the mile at Pinjarra. 1800m should be fine, good racing style and is a mare in form so she has plenty going for her.

6 Bayhara (Bet Now:  $SP.00) deserves a crack in town. He is flying at the moment, winning his past two, both at Geraldton. Two back he gapped them over the mile before he stepped up to 1900m where he gave them a start and a beating to win and win well. Good test here, but confident he measures up.

5 Oly’s Choice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat option for Team Pearce. He was knocking on the door to win and it came three weeks ago over 1400m, getting a peach from off the speed under Pike before angling clear and got better as the race went on to win and win well. He’ll eat up 1600m and Pike sticks.

3 Desennea (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing over this track/distance last Saturday where he got into a reasonable spot behind the speed but when Pike asked for an effort, he was plain and in the straight, was very disappointing. Pike jumps ship to stick with Oly’s Choice but does get Blinkers on to sharpen him up. Not penning him.

4 Media Baron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 1800m two weeks back where he got a fair way out of his ground and made up some headway but was never really threatening behind Sowar. He does have a good track/distance record and this isn’t a deep race. Big improver here.

6 Fortune’s Luck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. Adam Durrant trained mare that ran over the mile two weeks ago where she got into a decent spot off the speed and presented to win but in a slowly run race, she couldn’t dash quick enough to be a winning threat. Back to 1400m, more genuine tempo, she’ll be hard to hold out.

8 Lova Session (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a daughter of Sessions that resumes for Adam Durrant. This girl is first up after formerly being with Dan Morton. She is better suited over further but has a touch of quality about her and has trialled up nicely leading in, plus gets Pike to steer. Rates highly for sure.

3 El Patron (Bet Now:  $SP.00) took forever to break a run of outs but that came to end at this track/distance on Anzac Day, sitting on speed before being clicked up by Campbell and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found and was too good. Maps ideally again and off a win, commands respect I feel.

2 Pleasure Cruise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a big price here I feel. He resumed two weeks ago at this track/distance where he was a drifter in betting but gee he was stiff not to be right in the finish, getting badly held up when wanting to build the revs. Stays at 1200m, which I find interesting, but if he gets clear air this time around and time to wind into his work, he’ll launch at them late.

3 Twain’s Angel… (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just how good is she? 3/3 to start her career. Market wanted her with confidence when resuming over this track/distance a fortnight back where she gave them a start and a beating, producing electric change up speed to win and win well. Gets in well after the claim and with natural improvement, she’ll take beating.

5 Brave Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a must for exotics. Market said he was a moral when resuming at Albany and duly saluted. He then went to the Twain’s Angel race mentioned above where he got back to near last in the run and made up good ground without threatening. Potentially a knockout hope if he can settle closer.

9 Treasured Queen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done a super job since joining Peter Fernie and I am confident she can confirm her Kalgoorlie form with a city win here. She is 2/2 for Fernie, both at Kalgoorlie and each time she has been dominant. Good racing style, suited at 1000m and stable finds Pike to steer, which is usually a good guide.

3 Plato Or Plomo (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a talented three year old for Team Gangemi that looks to have come back in good order. He resumed down the straight at Pinjarra where he got back off the speed and was held up at times before eventually getting clear and drove hard late for a strong win. He can measure up here for sure.

2 Little Strawberry (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key winning chance. Mitch Pateman trained mare that resumed over 1100m here two weeks back where she got back to near last in the run and was very good late in the piece behind The Boss Lady. Back to this level, back to 1000m, hard to beat if she can settle closer.

9 Golden Kathleen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be much closer to Bustling in betting I feel. I was quite keen on this filly in the Karrakatta but once she bombed the start, that sealed her fate, so forgive and forget the run. Drawn to settle on speed, the run prior in the Gimcrack was a beauty so in terms of betting, I’d much rather back her at the better odds.

1 Bustling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the best juvenile in WA and that was confirmed with the Karrakatta triumph, where he led throughout and gapped them in an outstanding display. The query is 1400m but there is no indication he won’t handle it. Just a matter of what work he does from the wide gate to get across. He can win, bolt up even, but too short.

2 Big Shots (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver for Luke Fernie. He was set a task, resuming in the Karrakatta. He got into a decent spot off the speed but he just lacked the fitness to go with them late, so be forgiving of the run behind Bustling. Better set up here and he does have runs on the board, so I am not penning him.

2 Let’sdeal (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the each way bet for me here. Steve Wolfe trained gelding that ran behind Flower In The Wind three weeks ago here. He kept saving ground nearer the inside after getting back early and kept finding the line but perhaps just got a touched bogged down by the weight. Gets weight relief, kind map and will be strong late.

1 Flower In The Wind (Bet Now:  $SP.00) continues to creep up in the weights but she is a mare that is absolutely flying for Neville Parnham. She has won three on the bounce, the latest coming in the race mentioned above from three weeks back where she gave them a start and a beating in a dominant display. Flying and despite the weight increase, she clearly has to be respected.

9 See Ya Champ (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance at odds. This girl was 1600m to 2300m at Pinjarra last time where she got back to near last in the run and made up solid headway without threatening behind Fat Roy Slim. She has that 2300m run under the belt, which holds her in good stead for this. Not dismissing her.

5 Generosity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will do me in the get out. Simon Miller trained filly that resumed two weeks ago over 1000m here two weeks ago where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never really threatening, I did like the way she found the line late in the piece behind Barney’s World. Fitter, up in trip, jockey upgrade, she’ll do me.

2 Sonoftheboss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands on the bunny and will take running down. This guy was a track/distance winner three weeks ago, where they rode him with a sit, intending to see out the 1200m, and he finished off best to score. The tactics here will be interesting but I think he’ll lead comfortably if they are positive early and with control, he’s hard to beat.

4 Rope Them In (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout hope. Steve Wolfe trained gelding that resumed two weeks back at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run and worked home well without threatening behind Twain’s Angel. If he can settle closer in the run, he’s dangerous.

NEXT BEST: Race Seven Number 9 Golden Kathleen

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 2 Let’sdeal
