29/3/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Ascot

9 Sixinch Heels (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is 2/2 this time and looks well placed to make it three. Resumed with a strong win at Pinjarra before proving that was no fluke with a commanding performance here. Rises in grade/depth but hard to knock the way she’s racing.

8 Shoot To Fame (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after winning at Pinjarra on Sunday where she lobbed into a beaut spot behind the speed before angling clear and finished best to score. Harder here but think she can measure up.

4 Mean Machine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was 1500m back to 1300m when racing at Pinjarra on Sunday when off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat. Like him up in trip and is one of the knockout hopes in an even race on paper, overall.

6 Amaroo Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying for Simon Miller and has earned a crack at Saturday metro grade. Really tough win from him last Wednesday at this track/distance when wide no cover, keen in the run and despite that, he finished best to score. Confident he measures up.

1 Tawkin Jibberish (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the back up for Luke Fernie after a dominant win last Wednesday at this track/distance where she led throughout and gave nothing else a look in. Good racing style, she’ll be around the mark.

4 Flick The Switch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing over 1200m two weeks back here when on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through. Like him back in trip and prior efforts were more than sound.

7 Terratif (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited back in trip. She ran over 1690m three weeks ago at Bunbury where she seemed to have every chance in transit but was quite plain late. Back in trip, back to Ascot, she’ll take beating against these.

4 Rocket Juice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a model of consistency for Neville Parnham and should be around the mark. He ran over this track/distance a fortnight back when just off the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get involved and finish the job. He commands respect here as a key prospect.

3 Grand Reserve (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 1400m after resuming over 1200m two weeks back where he got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good in defeat. Might want one more but off the return, he’s in with a shout.

4 Playing Games (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to Saturday grade off the back of a win last Wednesday over this track/distance, giving them a start and an absolute beating in an electric performance. She’s flying at the moment and looks to have found a winnable race.

6 Red Tori (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this trip at Bunbury when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Back to Ascot, she commands respect in a winnable race.

2 Said No One Ever (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after resuming over 1200m at Albany. He was near the speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Back in trip looks a positive and can settle forward.

7 Deferred (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is heading in the right direction and is one of the leading contenders. He won last Wednesday at this track/distance, getting the run of the race and finished best to score. Good test here but think he can measure up.

8 Blue Rocket (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes on the older horses but she is racing well for Dan Morton and should be around the mark. She ran over this track/distance last time out when on speed and she tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when second to Main Act. Good racing style and this isn’t a deep contest.

2 Ruler Rocket (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a threat at a price. He comes through the Bluff Knoll at Albany where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he did find the line and was pretty good in defeat behind Rope Them In. Back to this grade, he has to be respected.

13 Royal Splendour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks suited up to 2200m after racing over 2100m two weeks ago here where she got a fair way out of her ground but was good late when third to Warralea Lass. Pike on, up in trip, she’s hard to beat against this lot.

8 Bernbrae (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here as a last start winner, that victory being last Wednesday at this track/distance when getting the suck run and finished to score. Harder here, but has to be respected as a key chance.

6 Duchess Demerit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to Bernbrae last Wednesday. He got a fair way out of his ground but you had to like the way he closed his race off in defeat. Dangerous if he can get a drag into the race and be within range.

6 Luana Miss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a very sharp filly and confident she can resume with a win. Her debut came on Jan 11 here when on speed and trucking before being clicked up and away she went to win and win quite impressively. She looks well above average so keen to see how she goes.

1 Yes Queen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is regarded as top seed for the Karrakatta and no reason why that can’t be argued really given her debut win in the Crystal Slipper was quite dynamic and ran very good time. Trialled up like a rocket, she’s hard to beat..

7 Maythisbetheone (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one I can entertain for exotics. She debuted four weeks back at this track/distance when on speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late. Doubt she is good enough to win flutter is a first four threat.

1 Bravo Centurion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the one that could rock and roll here. He resumes for Luke Fernie after a big Spring prep, which ended with the flop in the Winterbottom where he had excuses deluxe. Given a good break, resumes at the short course…keen on his prospects.

4 Ginnivan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Jim Taylor trained gelding that resumes. He probably sits alongside Bravo Centurion as the best 1000m horse in Perth. He had a fabulous prep when last in work and his trials indicate he’s ready to go. Leading contender.

5 Oxbridge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for exotics. He resumed in the Bluff Knoll at Albany when on speed and tried hard and just felt the pinch late behind a good horse, Rope Them In. Good racing style, he’s one for wider multiples.

2 Filthy Habits (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He is on the seven day back up after winning last Saturday over 1800m here, leading throughout and credit to him, he found under pressure to fend them off and win quite well I thought. Back in trip no issue, should lead and take beating.

3 Zephyra (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight query at this trip at this level but she is a mare who hasn’t done much wrong this prep. Latest run was in the Sheila Gwynne when racing over 1400m and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third. Racing well though and does command respect.

7 Yarralea (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like a rise to 1600m suits after racing two weeks back in the Sheila Gwynne where she got back to near last in the run and while she was never a winning threat, she did make up ground and was pretty good in defeat. If she can settle closer, she takes beating.

NEXT BEST: Race Eight Number 1 Bravo Centurion

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 13 Royal Splendour
