Race One (12:22) : Global Transport Insurance Handicap 1600m:
Back Me: 1 Royal Tithe (Bet Now: $2.40) is the class runner engaged who comes here after running over 1350m here a fortnight back where she stuck to the task well behind Snow Fields. Mile is the query, but she has class and quality.
Big Danger: 6 Clarendon House (Bet Now: $8.50) broke the maiden tag in impressive fashion at the Sunshine Coast when sitting off speed and letting down strongly. Gives the impression that the mile will suit and has upside.
Roughie: 3 Hundred (Bet Now: $41.00) was a solid debut winner at Beaudesert before racing in that Snow Fields race where he got the back in the run and just couldn’t come into the race. Much better than that and he can bounce back.

Race Two (12:57) : Carlton Mid Handicap (75) 2000m:
Back Me: 11 Charcuterie (Bet Now: $5.00) is a three year old stepping up in trip and taking on the older horses but he should prove to be competitive after running over the mile here on June 29 when running on well from the back to run fourth to the in form galloper More Energy. 2000m is a query, but he has the touch of class to be a threat.
Big Danger: 6 Show Day (Bet Now: $6.00) ran over the Eagle Farm mile last Wednesday when sitting just near the tempo most of the way and fighting on well when third to Fuerza, beaten just over two lengths. He has won his lone start at 2000m and he should have a little bit of upside.
Roughie: 10 In A Jiffy (Bet Now: $8.00) ran over 2200m here two weeks back when sitting near the speed and fighting on well when fourth to the handy galloper Get On The Grange. Strikes a very winnable race here and if she holds her form, she’ll go close.

Race Three (13:35) : Tatts Handicap (1MW) 1110m:
Back Me: 1 Just A Bullet (Bet Now: $9.50) resumed in a pretty solid race at Toowoomba where he sat on speed and copped pressure, but his class was a bit too good. He’ll have the speed to lead these, and over the short course at Doomben, that is such an advantage.
Big Danger: 3 Royal Occasion (Bet Now: $6.50) has been given a five week freshen up since making up really good ground late behind Ninth Legion in the Eye Liner at Ipswich. Not the best of records at Doomben, but his form this prep is outstanding.
Roughie: 13 Limerick Moon (Bet Now: $8.50) ran in a similar race over 1050m here a fortnight back where he had a charmed run behind the tempo and fought on well when fourth to Dame Destiny. He’ll get a similar trip here and is a threat.

Race Four (14:12) : Tatts Handicap 1110m:
Back Me: 7 Londehero (Bet Now: $6.50) has been given a five week let up since producing a lovely turn of foot from off the pace to win on Ipswich Cup Day. It had been a while between drinks but his confidence would have been given a significant boost after that triumph, and despite facing strong opposition here, he has to be rated as a strong chance.
Big Danger: 9 Treatmelikealady (Bet Now: $8.50) is a talented mare that resumes for Rob Heathcoate. She had one run last time in, resulting in a fifth to Court Martial Miss over this track/distance. Recent Deagon trial was very encouraging, she flies fresh and strikes a winnable race.
Roughie: 4 Essay Raider (Bet Now: $21.00) creates some really good interest here. Former SA galloper that is now with the Brosnan stable. Looked to trial alright at the Gold Coast last Tuesday, he has a solid fresh record and on his day, he is a Stakes class galloper.

Race Five (14:52) : Tatts Plate (Class 3) 1350m:
Back Me: 15 Cruising Speed (Bet Now: $11.00) ran at the midweeks at Eagle Farm a tick over two weeks back and the daughter of Savabeel proved too tough and too good. Draws okay now thanks to the scratchings and stable and jockey are in super form at the moment.
Big Danger: 6 Motion Granted (Bet Now: $6.00) ran second in that Monster Of Energy race and I thought his effort was pretty good considering he did some work to sit on speed. Draws to get a lovely run in transit here and actually meets Kingtantes 2.5kg better off for beating him.
Roughie: 1 Kingtantes (Bet Now: $18.00) ran over 1400m at Eagle Farm at the midweeks a fortnight back when battling on well to run fourth to Monster Of Energy, who went within a lip of winning last Saturday, so the form reads well and he has a good record at the track.

Race Six (15:32) : Michael Purcell Memorial Handicap (85) 1350m:
Back Me: 7 Angel Dancer (Bet Now: $3.20) was a strong on speed winner at this track/distance on July 9, toughing it out strongly over the concluding stages to eventually wear down Brettan. Bit more depth here, but she is a mare in ripping form who will be out of trouble and giving plenty.
Big Danger: 4 Chariot Of Gold (Bet Now: $11.00) ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where he sat near the speed and stuck to the task pretty gamely I thought when fifth to Angel Dancer. He is finding it hard to win, but on his best form, gee he’d take some beating here, and this race doesn’t carry much depth.
Roughie: 10 Star Drop (Bet Now: $18.00) was backed to win the Fillies and Mares race on Sunny Coast Cup Day and worked home okay late without threatening when fifth to Golden Mineshaft. Draws well and is right down in the weights. Big improver.

Race Seven (16:12) : Sky Racing Tatts Mile 1600m:
Back Me: 4 Akavoroun (Bet Now: $6.00) ran over this track/distance a fortnight ago when he attempted to lead all the way and just felt the pinch late when a close up second to Harada Bay. That was the first sign of decent for in some time, and now he has found it, and with the compressed weights, he does look very well placed.
Big Danger: 8 Lauterbrunnen (Bet Now: $5.00) ran third in the Harada Bay race and his effort was very good I thought considering he has a bit of upside left and he sat back in the run before closing off well. Looks much better suited here and should take some beating.
Roughie: 7 Feltre (Bet Now: $7.00) was backed at odds to win at Eagle Farm three weeks back and the market support was justified with a dominant win, aided by a peach steer from Paul Hammersley. Month between runs is a slight query, but he has a fab record at Doomben and dropping back to the mile looks ideal.

Race Eight (16:48) : Winning Edge Presentations Handicap 1200m:
Back Me: 9 Colinelle (Bet Now: $6.50) didn’t beat much when resuming at the Sunny Coast but there was plenty to like about the way he went about it, bolting up after sitting on speed. If he drew a gate, I’d declare him, but even with the wide gate, he looks the one to beat.
Big Danger: 1 Madotti (Bet Now: $8.00) ran here a fortnight back and looked the winner with about 200m to go but she just couldn’t quite finish it off when fifth to Frequendly. Draws a bit better here and is fitter, plus she has class.
Roughie: 8 Banda Spice (Bet Now: $12.00) ran three weeks back at the Sunny Coast in a fillies and mares race where she fought on well when third to Golden Mineshaft, beaten in a three way thriller. Hard to trust sometimes, but she has a touch of class, draws well and Wiggins is back on.
