22/3/2025 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Ascot, Natasha Stakes day

1 Sky Duke (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks really hard to beat against this line up. He was game as in defeat two weeks ago at Bunbury after sitting wide no cover throughout, he kept finding the line behind Ruler Rocket. If that hasn’t busted him, I think it’s a case of good luck beating him.

4 My Lovely Pet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying. Impressive winner two back at Mount Barker before racing here a fortnight back where he gave them a start and a beating in an impressive display. He commands respect as a key threat.

5 Simply Rosso (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing last Wednesday over 1200m here. He got into a decent spot just off the speed but couldn’t quite finish the race off. Better suited at 1000m…doubt he wins but can run top four.

7 Who’s Bent (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a very nice juvenile for Mitch Pateman. He is on debut off the back of extensive trial work and has looked really impressive to my eye…could he put his hand up for the Karrakatta? If he runs up to the trials, I say yes.

3 My Authoritah (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1100m after debuting over 1200m here w fortnight back when off the speed and kept chasing despite not getting the clearest of paths. Back in trip I find interesting but if they go silly in front, he can launch late.

2 Pembeton (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1000m here when first up. He was back and wide throughout but I really liked the way he closed off. If within range, he has the finale to take this out.

6 Correct Choice (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile after resuming over 1400m at Bunbury when back in a slowly run race but did make up good ground in defeat behind Premium Girl. Much better set up here and has a stack of upside/improvement to come.

2 Success Play (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form again and he can go on with it. That win came at Bunbury over 1690m a fortnight back, getting front end control and he gave nothing else a look in to win well. He’ll be hard to get past that if he gets a similar run.

3 Fine Touch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous with her best. She is on the seven day back up after racing over 1500m here last Saturday when just off what looked a decent speed snd tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off. Hard fit now, her best is good enough to take this out.

4 Soso Lucky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win and she gets a great chance to get into the winners list. She ran over 1400m here two weeks ago when off speed and chased strongly when second. Back to 1200m I find interesting but she’ll be strong late and finds a winnable race.

1 Supportive (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at this track/distance when off speed and worked home nicely late in the piece behind Cessation. Back a fair way in depth here, she rates highly.

9 Nobellity (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and can bounce back after racing over 1000m at Belmont last start. She got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Not sure she wins but can run first four at odds.

7 Brave Strike (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to bounce back. Total forgive for mine last Saturday over 1200m here when wide no cover throughout and that hard run just told on her late. Back to 1000m, much kinder map and Pike sticks.

3 Petula (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Simon Miller trained mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since The Quokka last year when far from disgraced in defeat behind Overpass. You’d assume that is where she is heading again and her trial was quite good, so watch betting.

5 Capre Omnia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is flying and has to be considered a first four prospect. He ran last Saturday at this track/distance and I just think they rode him too warm when a tiring fourth. Ridden with more of a sit, I think he can be quite dangerous.

5 Watch Me Rock (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does tend to save his best for for Ascot so returning here, I think he can bounce back. He contested the Bunbury Stakes when off speed and seemed to have his chance but just battled. Getting back to Ascot and hard fit, he appeals.

4 Fluro Neuro (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won at the same meeting at Bunbury at the same trip. He was wide no cover throughout but he kept finding under pressure and was impressive in winning. Good test here but confident he can measure up.

1 Bruce Almighty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is better suited at Ascot vs Bunbury and can be a big improver. He was plain in the Bunbury Stakes last time but as I said, he’s Ascot or bust, so returning here and getting Chris Parnham on, don’t dismiss him.

7 Twilight Tale (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to bounce back. On face value, she was just fair in the Ascot 1000 Guineas but for mine, she just looks a filly that is crying out for more ground, which she gets here, and is bred to eat it up. Quite keen on her prospects.

1 Glasgow Lass (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has the runs on the board and has to be respected off the back of the 1000 Guineas triumph. She did get the A1 run in transit but she still had to take advantage of it and that she did. 2200m is the query but hard to knock her and the brilliance factor.

3 Ron’s Finalflutter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) does have an element of class about her but is a query at 2200m. She comes through the Ascot 1000 Guineas where she did seemingly have every chance but was just fair late. Not sure she is good enough to win but can run top four.

1 All Grunt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is racing like a rise to 1800m will be ideal. He comes through the Lex Piper when off speed and kept chasing with purpose but was no match for Too Soonm finishing second. 1800m should be fine and is the one to beat.

6 With Discretion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is progressive and confident he can measure up after a win over 1500m here last time when giving them a start and a beating. Harder here, but he does look quite progressive and will eat up 1800m.

5 Later Alligator (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will appreciate the rise in distance after contesting the Lex Piper. He got held up and lost momentum at times but when clear, he was one paced hence why the extra ground looks ideal. Doubt he wins but is a first four contender.

10 Blazing Emerald (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems a straight bat play here. She ran last Wednesday at this track/distance where she got into a good spot near the speed snd presented to boot up on the turn but just found one better on the line. Should land in a plum spot once again and take beating.

3 Sowar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will love the drop in grade/depth/distance after contesting the Bunbury Cup last start where he ran a beauty and was far from disgraced behind Captain Pluto. That form clearly reads well…just a matter of whether there is petrol left in the tank.

2 Material Witness (Bet Now:  $SP.00) might want one more but his return wasn’t too bad I thought. That came two weeks back at Bunbury over 1400m when on speed and tried hard but being first up, condition just gave way late. Not sure he wins but is a must for exotics.

NEXT BEST: Race Two Number 7 Who’s Bent

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 10 Blazing Emerald
