Flemington will conduct a ten event program on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out nine metres for the entire circuit.

Race 1. (12:15) Tab We're On (Bm100) 1600m
1 Munhamek (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has class and that is going to carry him a long way. He comes through the Kensington on New Years Day over 1400m here where the race shape was against him but he kept finding the line in a pretty good effort in defeat. Hard fit now and with the class factor, he rates highly.
3 Marble Arch (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is flying for Team Hayes and looks one of the hardest to beat off the back of strong efforts at Caulfield Heath, winning two back before a game effort in the Lord Stakes behind Regal Vow. Flying and should prove hard to beat against these.
6 Speycaster (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a son of Highland Reel for Chris Waller that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since Aug 3 over 2500m here when producing an end of prep run, finishing down the track behind Horrifying. He is better suited over further but can sprint well fresh and strikes a winnable race, so watch the market.
Race 2. (12:45) Vrc Punters Club Sprint 1000m
4 Hot Whiskers (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) commands respect for Phillip Stokes, a stable that is humming with their juveniles. She debuted in a five horse race at Mornington where she landed on speed quite comfortably and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Confident she measures up here.
3 Cavalry Girl (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) will land on speed and take beating, as shown on debut in the Geelong Diamond when leading and gave a good sight but had no answers for the brilliant finale of Cherish Me. Like her drawn out down the straight. Gives her room to move, do her own thing and prove hard to beat.
6 Eden Rose (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a well bred filly for Jason Warren that resumes. She hasn’t been seen since her debut at Caulfield in the Debutant where she was a real eye catcher from the back in defeat behind Miss Celine, finishing fourth. She has jumped out well for the return and should be strong late.
Race 3. (13:20) Australian Guineas, 1 March (Bm70) 1600m
3 Tomba (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. Neasham/Archibald trained gelding that has won two on the bounce, both at Kembla. First win, he gave them a start and a beating in an electric performance. Last time he was ridden with more intent and although the margin wasn’t as big, the win was just as impressive. Heading in the right direction, hard to beat.
6 Garnacho (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to the mile after racing here on New Years Day over 1400m. He got off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort behind Xarpo. Racing like 1600m will suit, he’s hard fit now and should be strong at the end.
7 Mrs Artie (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a filly heading in the right direction for Jerome Hunter and keen to see how she goes. She has won two on the bounce, both coming on the home deck at Mornington, winning over 1200m before going to 1500m when a strong, impressive winner. Good test here, but think she can measure up.
Race 4. (13:55) Black Caviar Lightning 15 Feb (Bm78) 1100m
5 Samangu (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looks to have a bit on these. Four weeks between runs since a strong effort on Pakenham Cup Day where she looked a good thing on paper and duly saluted to win and win well. Fresh legs and back to 1100m, more patient steer, I think she could prove to be explosive.
8 Mighty (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looks the key threat. She resumed over 1000m at The Valley three weeks ago when off speed and railed through with purpose late to just miss out on the win when second to the very much in form Fickle. Shinn sticks and with good room for improvement, she rates highly.
4 Charmed Run (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a knockout hope and a must for exotics. She ran four weeks back on pakenham Cup Day over 1000m when off speed and kept chasing from the back in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Title Fighter. If within range, she has the finale to be dangerous.
Race 5. (14:30) Vrc Summer Fun Sprint (Bm70) 1200m
5 Gronkowski (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) rates highly. He ran down the straight here on New Years Day when near the speed and trucking. He was clicked up and found under pressure, looming to win but found one better in Redoute’s Night. Racing well and last start proved the straight track is no issue.
11 Street Elite (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) will get back but be strong at the end, as seen here on New Years Day. He got back to near last in the run but kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat I thought behind Redoute’s Night. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.
4 Subrising (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a Nigel Blackiston trained mare that resumes. She is first up, having not raced since July 20 over 1700m here when down the track in an end of prep run behind Le Zebra. Better suited over further but has jumped out well and does get B Shinn fresh, so watch the market.
Race 6. (15:05) Vrc Super Saturday, 8 March (Bm84) 1200m
4 Major Share (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is an absolute beauty for Adam Chambers. He has won five of seven, the latest at Terang when Winx odds and duly saluted in comfortable fashion. Good test here in town, but he is a line finder who will keep chipping away.
8 Wiggum (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday down the straight when badly held up in behind before eventually getting clear and found the line strongly enough in defeat to just miss. If the breaks go his way, he can win.
5 Our Last Cash (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has a good record at the straight course and I don’t think is racing too bad. He ran over 1675m at Wagga Riverside last time where he found the trip a bit far but was far from disgraced in defeat behind Baledon. Back to 1200m, he’ll be strong late and is a knockout hope.
Race 7. (15:40) Be A Mate, Nominate Trophy (Bm74) 1100m
1 Manolo Bling (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should be better for the run at Geelong two weeks ago where she paraded like she would improve with the run and that’s how it panned out behind Sweethearted. That was her first run since a win at Flemington on Cup Day and back to the straight course here, keen to see how she goes.
2 Kirribilli (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is a well bred filly for Moody/Coleman that resumes. She hasn’t raced since the early part of the Spring when placing in the Quezette behind Drifting. Two jumpouts under the belt for her return and should be strong late. Market watch.
3 Princess Que (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is three weeks between runs for Simon Zahra since sitting on speed in the Gold Carat at The Valley and she tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when beaten a lip by Just For Show. Good racing style and back to 1100m, she’ll be hard to hold out.
Race 8. (16:15) Tab (Bm100) 2000m
14 Beltoro (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has a good record at Flemington and is racing well. I thought his effort in defeat at The Valley three weeks back was full of merit given he was back, and forced wide in the run for a fair chunk of the race, but kept finding the line. Back to a track he likes, better run in transit, he can win.
9 Night Endeavour (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) should appreciate a rise to 2000m for Ciaron Maher. He comes through the Coastal Classic when not really suited by the race shape and just found them a bit on the sharp side late in the piece. Hard fit now and up in trip, class factor, he can bounce back hard.
7 Carini (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is capable but surely he’s nearing last chance territory before heading to Mackay. He hasn’t raced since the Werribee Cup where he got back and was never a factor when last behind Riot And Rose. He has jumped out well since so don’t dismiss him.
Race 9. (16:55) Flemington Racing Spectacular 1-29 March (Bm84) 1400m
4 Umgawa (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) has found positive form and he can certainly go on with it. He ran two weeks ago at Geelong when off the speed and kept finding the line in a pretty good effort in defeat when close up behind Mollynickers. He’s found form and back to where he races best, he appeals.
10 Lethal Thoughts (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) looks to have returned well. Loved the way he closed off a fortnight back at Geelong when resuming, getting back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose behind Mollynickers. Fitter, can settle closer and still be effective at the end.
11 Wicklow Town (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) is one I can entertain at odds to be a first four contender. He ran behind Mollynickers two weeks back at Geelong, getting back and was never really a factor, finishing last. More genuine tempo and hard fit, his best is good enough.
Race 10. (17:35) Inside Run (Bm70) 1800m
8 Mannerheim (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) for me. Chris Waller trained gelding that ran over 2040m at The Valley three weeks ago where he got a fair way back in the run and while he was never threatening, he ketp finding the line in a pretty good effort in defeat. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and still be effective late.
12 Dream All Day (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) will land on speed and take running down, as seen here on New Years Day when leading throughout and credit to her, she found under pressure to fend them off and get the job done. Racing like 1800m will be fine and strikes a winnable race.
5 Blushing Tycoon (Bet Now:Β $SP.00) will put himself on speed and look to give his all, as seen here on New Years Day when booting clear and was hailed as the winner for a few strides, but had to settle for a close up second to Inevitable Award. Good racing style and Williams sticks.
