14/3/2026 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Ascot, Natasha Stakes day

Ten races have been set down for Ascot on Saturday. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is out six metres for the entire circuit.

7 Soldanelle (Bet Now: $8.50) looks one of the better bets on the card. I thought she was enormous in defeat in the Detonator three weeks ago, getting a mile back but loved the way she finished her race off when fourth. If she’s within range, her finale will be too much for them I suspect.

6 Royal Toronado (Bet Now: $2.15) jumps straight to 1800m after resuming over 1200m here three weeks back. He got out of his ground but didn’t mind the way he closed off behind stablemate Immortal Bliss. Good upside to come, not dismissing.

5 Outspoken Lad (Bet Now: $26.00) was a narrow winner of the Esperance Cup last start, driving hard late from off speed to just get there in a tight go. Proven metro performer, he can press forward and give a sight.

5 Rolling Ruler (Bet Now: $4.80) looks really well suited back to 1000m and with a kind map in his corner, he is top seed for me. He won over 1200m three weeks ago here, getting the suck run in behind before angling clear and finished best. Similar set up here, he’s the one to beat.

1 Tycoon Harry (Bet Now: $3.40) has been kept on ice since Feb 11 when an impressive on speed winner at Belmont, defeating Malleter. That horse came out and bolted up last Saturday so the form reads super, he’ll press forward and take running down.

2 Keep Reading (Bet Now: $11.00) is racing well without winning and is a knockout hope. He ran third two weeks back at this track/distance, getting a fair way out of his ground and was good late when third to Santanova. If he can settle closer, he’s dangerous.

12 So Si God (Bet Now: $3.00) should prove hard to beat here after racing over 1400m last Wednesday at Belmont when near the speed and presented to win but just couldn’t quite get there. Hard fit, racing well and strikes a winnable race.

10 Leonardo De Grey (Bet Now: $31.00) is a talented gelding that resumes. He has done most of his racing at Geraldton but has run well here previously and despite no public trials in readiness for start one, I say he’s here to play so watch betting.

2 Kote (Bet Now: $35.00) ran over this trip at Geraldton last start when on speed throughout and tried hard but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Not sure he wins but with his racing style, he’ll give himself every chance.

1 Wonderfully Made (Bet Now: $1.50) should be too good for these. She was arrogant in the 1000 Guineas two weeks ago, sitting near the speed and she looked to be jogging before being clicked up by Pike and away she went. Extra 400m should be fine, good luck beating her.

2 Masmelo (Bet Now: $4.60) ran second to Wonderfully Made in the 1000 Guineas. She got off speed and did make up headway but was never beating the winner. Doubt she turns the tables but runs well regardless.

5 Solo Vega (Bet Now: $91.00) rises to 2200m after placing over 1400m at Bunbury. She got off speed and was okay late without threatening when third. Not sure she wins but she can pinch first four at odds.

1 Firearm (Bet Now: $3.00) steps up to 1100m for Trevor Andrews after racing over 1000m here when off speed and kept chasing with purpose when third. Like the rise to 1100m and this looks a race well within reach I say.

7 Axopar (Bet Now: $14.00) is a daughter of Bondi that debuts. Dan Morton trained filly that has had a couple of trials to get ready for start one and for the most part hasn’t looked too bad so I’d say watch betting and see what it does.

3 London Rose (Bet Now: $8.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1000m here. She landed in a decent spot just off speed and tried hard but just lacked the quality to finish the job. Honest type, she can fill a placing.

6 Later Alligator (Bet Now: $3.20) is the one to beat I suspect. He was the eye catcher two weeks ago over 1400m here. He got back to near last in the run but was strong late. If he can settle closer, he’s clearly the one.

3 Crunchy Nut (Bet Now: $16.00) is hard to beat. He ran over this trip at Esperance last start where he got a mile out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat when second. If he is within range, he has the finale to score.

1 Noble Connection (Bet Now: $10.00) steps up to the mile after resuming over 1400m here two weeks back where he was outclassed on paper and ran accordingly behind King Hit. Much better suited here, I am not dismissing him.

2 Touretto (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks really hard to beat here. He ran three weeks ago over the mile here, getting off speed in an on pace dominated affair. He was never threatening but I really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat. Love the rise in trip and the depth is nowhere near as deep. Keen.

7 Bayhara (Bet Now: $23.00) comes to town off the back of an on speed win at Geraldton a fortnight back. Credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good racing style, he’s in the mix here for sure.

12 Guns Away (Bet Now: $151.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over the mile at Belmont. Market said he’d need the run and that’s how it panned out when down the track. Better suited here…doubt he wins but could sneak first four at a big price.

3 Immortal Bliss (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the starting point here. He is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, knuckling down with purpose to wear down the in form Sonoftheboss. Tricky gate but with luck, will take beating.

1 Sky Duke (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is five weeks between runs since being runner up in the Cyril Flower. He was on speed and tried his guts out but had no answers for Almighty Class. Hit and miss this guy but off that effort, he can win this.

11 Influencing (Bet Now: $27.00) should be better for the first up run, which came last Wednesday over 1000m here. He had a big weight and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. He’s a definite improver at odds.

4 Sentimental Legend (Bet Now: $3.60) looks a clear top seed not just for this race but I think the Derby as well. He was dominant last Wednesday at Belmont, getting better as the race went on and was very impressive. He’ll eat up 1800m and with good upside, I am quite keen on his prospects.

1 The Crimson Pirate (Bet Now: $3.10) was dominant in the Lex Piper two weeks ago here. He landed on speed and was trucking before being clicked up and away he went. Impressive and given the dominance, 1800m is fine and rates highly.

3 Dominatus (Bet Now: $13.00) is a query at 1800m but he deserves one more look. He just missed in the Challenge first up before going to the Lex Piper where he was given a gun ride but found little and was quite plain. He can win, but I’d rather include in exotics.

4 Rally The Troops (Bet Now: $4.80) looks really hard to beat for Team Pearce. He is three weeks between runs since placing at this track/distance. He got back to near last in the run but really liked the way he finished his race off when third. If he can settle closer and be within range, he’ll take holding out.

2 King Hit (Bet Now: $10.00) got a well deserved win two weeks ago at this track/distance. He had the suck run in transit just off speed before being presented clear air and let down nicely when it mattered to score. His confidence is up, he can go on with it.

3 Tacito (Bet Now: $71.00) is under two weeks between runs since contesting the Esperance Sprint when off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort. If he can settle closer and be within range, he has the finale to be dangerous at odds.

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 4 Sentimental Legend

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 6 Later Alligator
