10 In Great Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Chris Anderson, having not raced since Aug 8 when a dominant winner over this trip at Ipswich, getting the suck in transit before angling wider and finished best. Tick over trial was quite strong, she is one of the leading contenders.

3 Alectrona (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door for Team Munce. She ran a fortnight back at Eagle Farm and tried hard from near the speed but just had no answers late for Magnatear, who is a proper Saturday class horse. Back to Mares grade, she’ll take beating.

8 Lavoni (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable with her best. She ran three weeks back behind Formal Display at Eagle Farm when off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Back to Mares grade, ideal map, she’s one of the knockout hopes.

3 Cavalry Man (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a slight unknown at 2000m but is racing as if he’ll eat it up after racing over 1800m two weeks ago at Eagle Farm when back in the run and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway and was solid late in the piece. Off that, 2000m is fine and he’s one of the leading contenders.

2 Misterkipchoge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one if the hardest to beat. He ran over 1800m at the midweeks on the Kenso at Randwick. He got off speed and chased with purpise in the straight but couldn’t quite get there when third to Dr Devil. 2000m should be fine and strikes a winnable race.

8 Old Song (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 2000m after racing over 2200m three weeks back at Eagle Farm behind Celestial Fury. She got too far out of her ground and did make up headway but she was never really threatening. Good record at Doomben, not penning her.

6 Foreign Press (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will land on speed and take running down, as seen at Eagle Farm three weeks ago when attempting to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through, nabbed late by stablemate Impervious. Good racing style, he appeals.

5 Ha’Penny Hatch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Paul Shailer trained filly that resumes. She did some solid things during the Winter Carnival, her prep ending with a down the track effort in the Sires at Eagle Farm. Couple of strong trials under the belt for the return, watch betting, because she has class.

3 Krackacan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was scratched from a much easier race at Mackay yesterday in preference for this. He has been too good for them up there, the latest start being a strong all the way win at Townsville. Good test here, but think he can measure up.

9 Kodiak (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Rob Heathcoate trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since May 7 at Eagle Farm when leading over 1400m and gave a strong kick but felt the pinch late behind October. Fresh at 1110m I like and his recent trial win was quite good.

16 Negotiations (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key chance for Ciaron Maher. He looked the winner when presented last start at the midweeks here but had no answers for the finale of Mio Sorrento. Maps perfect and should be strong late. Just needs luck getting clear.

4 Troika (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t been too bad in two runs this time in for Jack Bruce. Latest run saw him run second at the Gold Coast two weeks back when on speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Maps ideally and is a knockout hope.

12 Ouroboros (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat for Matty Hoysted after a dominant win two weeks ago at Eagle Farm over 1200m, leading throughout and was impressive in the run to the line, albeit in a weak Class 4. Now in a strong Class 6 but looks to have returned super and with a good racing style, he takes beating.

2 Battlefield (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous if within range. He got a bit too far back at Eagle Farm a fortnight back but really liked the way he closed off late in the piece behind Give Giggles. He has the finale to win. Just doesn’t want to start too much head start.

4 Flying Destiny (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this trip at Eagle Farm. He got caught in a sticky spot, sitting wide throughout and tried hard but the early burn just told on him late in the piece behind About To Explode. That was his first run in five weeks so with room for improvement, he’s in the mix.

2 Larrikin Rouge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is bursting to win for Chris Anderson. He has been runner up in both runs this time in, the latest over 1400m two weeks ago at Eagle Farm when off speed and tracked with purpose before angling wider and launched late but had to settle for a second to Formal Display. Bursting to win and strikes a winnable race.

4 Great Aspirations (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town for Tony Gollan off the back of a midwek win at Ipswich. He landed on speed and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Has run well at Doomben previously and has a good racing style.

3 Lion Class (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to town after a midweek win at Ipswich where he gave them a start and a beating, launching late from the back to win and win well. He has run well at metro level before and overall, this isn’t a deep race.

8 Party For Two (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a win at Eagle Farm over 1000m when leading throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but she found and was impressive in the run to the line. 1110m should be fine, she appeals.

9 Hurts So Good (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. Tony Gollan trained gelding that ended last prep on a high with two wins, both over 1000m at Eagle Farm. He does tend to race better there vs here, but is capable here, and a recent trial was quite good.

4 Golden Decade (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs for Matty Dunn since a first up win at Eagle Farm where he was a big price but got a suck run in behind and launched late when clear to cause a surprise win. Maps ideally and 1110m should be fine.

2 Caboche (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong in two runs back from a spell and appeals. Chris Waller trained gelding that ran over the mile a few weeks ago at Eagle Farm when off speed and kept chasing with purpose when a close up third to Encoder. Hard fit, clearly appeals.

4 Kronenbourg (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to the mile after resuming over 1400m two weeks back at Eagle Farm where he just found them a bit sharp behind the in form Bullion Boy. Better set up here, good upside to come, I am not penning him.

7 Cunnamulla Fella (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has a good track/distance record and returns to Doomben after racing at Eagle Farm his past two, where he did win two back, but got back and was never a factor a fortnight back behind Walsh Bay. If he can settle closer, be within range, he’ll take beating.

Very keen on 2 Deep Focus (Bet Now:  $SP.00). On face value, he was terrible when resuming three weeks ago at Eagle Farm, but when you break down the sectionals, where he was in the run, he was never going to threaten. Tick over trial on Tuesday was very good, maps to settle much closer, class…keen.

4 Blazen Boots (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up, hard fit and looks suited rising to 1600m after racing over 1400m two weeks ago at Eagle Farm when near the speed and he tried hard but had no answers late for impressive winner Magnatear. Good racing style and does have a real liking for Doomben.

8 Victory Command (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fifth to Magnatear two weeks back at Eagle Farm. He was several weeks between runs and was coming back in trip. He just found them a bit sharp but he stayed on and was pretty good late. Better set up here, he’s dangerous.

NEXT BEST: Race Three Number 6 Foreign Press

LONG SHOT: Race Four Number 9 Kodiak
