English stayer Wigmore Hall is over a minor scare and firmly back on track for the Singapore International Cup on Sunday.
The Michael Bell-trained four-year-old had his first spin at Kranji on the all-weather surface on Wednesday morning after losing a shoe on Monday.
“We had a bit of a scare when he pulled a shoe, but he’s all good now,” said Bell’s travelling head girl Gillian Dolman following the workout.
“He was fine, no problem at all. If anything he was a little fresh after his day off yesterday, but I’m happy enough with him now.
“I’m going to put these overreach boots on him now – just to be safe.
“We gave him a nice canter on the all-weather and he worked very well.”
Luca Cumani’s hope Presvis, who is making his third successive appearance in this race, shaped well in a six-furlong workout.
“He had an easy gallop over six on the grass and I was very happy with that,” said the Newmarket trainer’s assistant Charlie Henson.
“I would say he’s about the same as how he was last year and the previous year when he came here.
“It will be canter tomorrow and we’ll see how he is before deciding if he needs any more work.”
With regular rider Ryan Moore unavailable as he is riding So You Think at the Curragh on Sunday, Richard Hughes will partner Presvis for the first time.
