Prohibit warms up for his defence of the King’s Stand Stakes when he lines up in the Prix du Gros-Chene at Chantilly on Sunday.
Robert Cowell’s speedster took the same route last summer when he was just touched off by the re-opposing Wizz Kid in the French Group Two before taking the honours in the five-furlong (1000m) Group One at Royal Ascot.
Prohibit has not yet been seen in this country this year, having spent time in Dubai where he ran three times at Meydan.
“If he can bounce back to form he would be right in the shake-up and that would be his prep race for the King’s Stand,” Cowell said.
Prohibited is best-priced at 16-1 for the King’s Stand with last-start Temple Stakes winner Bated Breath at 9-2 ahead of Australian mare Ortensia at 7-1.
