22/2/2026 Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets – Sha Tin, Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup day

5 Almighty Lightning (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to make a winning debut. Dirty Work gelding that is having start one off the back of three trials in Hong Kong, for the most part looking quite good. The big lead here is Purton rides, and he hasn’t ridden the horse in any trials. Happy to be in his corner.

1 Master Lucky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance debut win, sitting near the speed and was trucking before being clicked up and he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good test here, but confident he runs well once again.

11 Leading Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran midfield behind Master Lucky in the race mentioned above. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late. Looks to land near the front again and should be around the mark.

5 Giant Ballon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play here. He ran over this trip at Happy Valley when tardy to begin with and was held up at times but was pretty good late in the piece when third. Maps much better in transit this time around and does get Purton sticking.

6 Happy Bretheren (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Zoustar that is on debut. He has had several trials in readiness for start one and for the most part has been pretty good, the latest being over this track/distance when second and moved well enough. Key threat.

2 Thousand Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1400m here when attempting to lead throughout and gave a decent sight from the front but just felt the pinch late in the piece. Like him back to 1200m, he’ll press forward and take running down.

2 Beauty Missile (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top. Several weeks between runs since a win over this trip at Happy Valley, giving them a start and a beating, proving quite strong in the run to the line. Tick over trial was pretty good, kind map in his corner and will be stronger than most late.

6 Romantic Fantasy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1800m after racing over 2000m here several weeks ago. He got off speed and chased with purpose in the straight but just found one better in Super Hong Kong. Liked the way he moved in a tick over trial and maps ideally.

9 Meepmeep (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after racing over the mile last Wednesday at Happy Valley. He got off speed and while he was never threatening, he made up some headway and wasn’t too bad. Not sure he is good enough to win but can run first four.

Going the way of 3 Stellar Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who has won over this track/distance his past two, the latest on Jan 4 when leading throughout and he gave nothing else a look in to win well. Good racing style, in a purple patch…hard to get away from him.

2 Colourful King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Stellar Express in the race mentioned above from Jan 4. He got back to near last in the run and charged home late but just couldn’t quite finish the job when second. If he’s within range, he’s got the finale to overhaul them.

1 Invincible Sage (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1000m after racing over 1200m at Happy Valley when off speed and was solid late but was never really threatening. Not sure he is good enough to win but can certainly run first four.

1 Smart Golf (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a placing at this track/distance. He attempted to lead throughout and gave a decent kick from the front but just felt the pinch late when third. He should get front end control here and take running down.

4 Gallant Design (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was a debut second four weeks ago at this track/distance. He got off speed and chased with purpose in the straight but just couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to Lucky Eight. If he can overcome the tricky gate, he’s dangerous.

7 Sea Diamond (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran fourth six weeks back at this track/distance. He got out of his ground and spotted those in front a start but didn’t mind the way he finished his race off in defeat. Maps to settle closer and be effective late.

14 Shotgun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good gamble against these. He ran last Saturday at this track/distance when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight when third to Gor Gor. Racing really well at present and right down in the weights, happy to be in his corner.

1 All Round Winner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was an impressive track/distance winner two weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating and getting better as the race went on to win well. He’s found winning form and he can certainly go on with it.

7 Lucky Balerion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run, which came four weeks back at this track/distance when off speed and did make up some ground but was never really a winning threat. Tricky draw, but with luck from the gate, he could be dangerous.

1 Turin Champions (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the better bets on the card after a dominant track/distance win four weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating and finally putting it all together to win and win well. Tricky gate, but hopefully can get cover, a drag into the race and launch over the top.

2 Mabubu (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was kept relatively safe in betting when resuming over 1200m here three weeks ago but not much went right for her so I want to be somewhat forgiving of the effort. I think the rise to 1400m is ideal and maps ideally.

5 Fun Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a gelding that resumes. He has a really good track/distance and while he didn’t fire towards the end of last prep, I think his best is good enough to be a threat. Despite no trials, I’d watch the market and see it does.

1 Ka Ying Rising (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be continuing and building the picket fence. He was awesome in the Centenary Sprint Cup. He wasn’t as brilliant/dynamic as what he has been before, but it was another arrogant display, beating up the locals. Loved the way he went in a trial last week, he’ll land on speed here and be too good.

3 Helios Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Ka Ying Rising in this race last year and all things being equal, he’ll run second to him again, like he did in the Centenary Sprint Cup, chasing with purpose from off speed but couldn’t quite get there. He’ll be around the mark once again.

2 Lucky Sweynesse (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile in the Stewards Cup where he was game as ever in defeat behind Romantic Warrior. He’ll be strong at the end of 1400m, but bumps into an all time great.

3 Lifeline Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is worth an each way ticket. He ran two weeks ago at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run and was very good late in the piece when third. If he can settle closer, be within range, I am convinced he is going well enough to threaten. Each way for me.

10 Ever Luck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been given a mini freshen up, having not raced since Jan 11 over this track/distance. He got into a reasonable spot in transit and I thought was there to win but was quite one paced in the straight and I’d say disappointing when third. Fresh legs, he’ll take beating against these.

2 Eternal Fortune (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be around the mark for Danny Shum. He is under three weeks between runs since racing over this trip at Happy Valley when near the speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Should be around the mark against these.

11 Lucky Twin Stars (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me. He ran over 1400m here two weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was quite good in defeat I thought. Maps to settle closer in the run, be effective late…good gamble at odds I reckon.

8 Without Compare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on quick back up after attempting to lead throughout last Saturday at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through and was run down late. Front end control, he’ll run really well.

5 The Red Hare (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was pretty good in defeat three weeks back at this track/distance. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never threatening, he did make up ground and was pretty good. If he can be within range, he’s dangerous.

9 Salon S (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is progressive and certainly heading in the right direction. 2/2 for Frankie Lor, the latest run being Dec 27 when leading throughout at this track/distance and had enough in hand to score. Good racing style, he’ll take running down.

5 Brilliant Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hit and miss but is certainly capable with his best. He hasn’t raced since Dec 20 over the mile here when just off speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through. Fresh legs at 1400m, his best is more than good enough to threaten.

6 Ka Ying Attack (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is just under two weeks between runs since a placing at this track/distance. He landed on speed and I thought was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there when second. Knocking on the door and commands respect here.

NEXT BEST: Race Four Number 3 Stellar Express

LONG SHOT: Race Ten Number 11 Lucky Twin Stars
