The 2024/25 Hong Kong racing season wraps up this Wednesday night with a bumper nine event card at Happy Valley, where the depth is strong.

1 Triumphant Warrior (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell, at peak fitness, and looks ready to win after a good effort here three weeks ago at this trip when on speed and he fought hard but just felt the pinch late. Hard fit now, he appeals.

5 Ragnarr (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second in the race mentioned above, won by Woodfire Champ. He got off speed and was held up at times but loved the way he closed off when second. Can settle much closer in the run and be effective late.

9 You’remyeverything (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a threat. He was solid late fresh over 1200m at Asha Tin before coming back to 1000m at Happy Valley where he was just run off his legs but was again good late. If within range, he has the finale to threaten.

4 Monarch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) County doesn’t have the best of racing patterns but he does appear well suited here after an eye catching effort last start. He got a mile out of his ground but worked home with real purpose and clocked good late splits. If he can settle closer, he’ll take beating.

5 Flash Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Charm Spirit on debut for Danny Shum. He has had extensive trial work to get ready for start one and his recent efforts haven’t been too bad to my eye. In well after the claim, watch betting.

9 Jolly Companion (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t raced since June 4 at this track/distance when down the track in a plain effort behind Mega Bonus but I was quite taken by a recent trial. I think at odds, he’s an improver.

2 Argento Ocean (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a nice horse. He was an eye catcher on debut at Sha Tin behind Lo Pan Spirit. He got back to near last in the run but was good late without threatening. He’ll spot them a start but should be strong at the end.

6 Autumn Delight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in a purple patch and commands respect. He was a strong winner here two back before going to Sha Tin when game in defeat behind Wonderstar. Returns to Happy Valley, he’s a key chance.

3 Brownneedsfurther (Bet Now:  $SP.00) debuted in the Wonderstar race mentioned above and I thought his run was solid after racing wide no cover. Maps to get a much better run in transit, he’s a knockout hope.

11 Atomic Beauty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door to win and strikes a winnable race. He has run third over the mile here his past two, the latest being on May 21 when near the speed and presented to win but just couldn’t quite finish the job. He does seem on the one paced side so 1800m looks ideal. Just needs to overcome the draw.

1 S J Toubillon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is humming and looking to make it three on the bounce. Strong track/distance winner two back before going to 2000m at Sha Tin where he led throughout and was dominant in the run to the line. Hard to knock the way he’s racing.

6 Stormi (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1800m after racing over the mile on the dirt at Sha Tin. He got into a reasonable spot in transit and tried hard but just whacked in the run to the line. I think the rise in trip suits and is one for exotics.

7 Honest Witness (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the good thing on the program. He ran three weeks ago at this track/distance three weeks ago when getting a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Never Too Soon. Maps to settle much closer, Purton on and this isn’t a deep contest.

2 King Excellente (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on ice since June 4 when third at this track/distance behind Mega Bonus. He got into a decent spot just off the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through when third. Racing well and should be around the mark.

11 Golden Friendship (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t really set the world on fire in his short career to date but as stated before, this race is thin so he doesn’t need to improve much. He ran three weeks back at this track/distance where he copped interference and didn’t have the best of luck. One for multiples.

9 Amazing Run (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the second of the three good things for mine. He won three weeks ago at this track/distance, giving them a start and a beating, getting better as the race went on to win impressively. He’s found winning form, can settle closer…keen.

1 Endued (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and has to be given serious respect. He steps up to the mile after a win over 1400m at Sha Tin when getting a decent run in transit just off the speed before being presented clear air and let down with purpose late to win and win well. Confidence is up, he commands respect.

3 Chain Of Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He didn’t have the best of luck in the straight and pretty much went around like it was a barrier trial behind Amazing Run. Purton sticks, he can bounce back.

6 Highland Rahy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a consistent animal that likes the track/distance and should take beating. He ran over this track/distance on June 4 when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a strong kick from the front but just felt the pinch late when second to Keefy. Good racing style and Purton takes over.

7 Prestige Always (Bet Now:  $SP.00) lands on speed and only runs well. He ran over this track/distance on June 11 when leading and tried his guts out but just found one better in Definitive. He may lead, or opt for cover from Highland Rahy. Whatever the scenario, he is right in the mix.

3 Rocket Spade (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over 1800m at Sha Tin when back near last in the run and made up good headway but was never threatening. Tick over trial was strong and if within range, he has the finale to take this out.

7 Full Credit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the each way gamble on the card. He resumed a few weeks ago down the straight at Sha Tin over 1000m when just finding them a bit sharp but he wasn’t too bad in defeat behind Beauty Waves. Fitter and up in trip, can settle closer and be effective late.

5 Kaholo Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs for Casper Fownes, having not raced since June 4 over this track/distance when leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win impressively. Good racing style, hard to knock the way he’s racing…hard to beat.

11 Aeris Nova (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a knockout chance. He ran over this trip at Sha Tin last time when off speed and keot chasing but seemingly had his chance behind Dancing Code. Maps to get a sweet run in transit and be effective late.

I think the Hong Kong 2024/25 season can end with a good thing, 1 Dragon Four Seas (Bet Now:  $SP.00). He has won his past two, both at this track/distance. Latest win was three weesk ago and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Purton on, lands on speed, he’ll take a power of running down.

9 Copartner Fleet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to Class 3 after a Class 4 win over 1200m at Sha Tin when leading throughout and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Tricky draw but will press forward and gets weight relief.

2 Kyrus Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous at odds. He got too far out of his ground when resuming at Sha Tin and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up headway without threatening. Maps to settle much closer in the run and be effective late.

LONG SHOT: Race Eight Number 7 Full Credit
