Nine races have been set down for Happy Valley this Wednesday with good depth across the program.

4 Apolar Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs for Dave Eustace since a dominant track/distance win where he gave them a start and a beating in an electric performance. Gets in well after the claim for this race and liked he way he moved in a recent tick over trial. He’s clearly the one to beat.

1 Star Brose (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after racing last Wednesday at this track/distance. He did eventually have his chance but at times, the run of the green didn’t go his way. He drops to Class 5 grade and overall, this isn’t a deep race, so he’s in the mix.

6 Lucky Blessing (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is having his first look at this track/distance after doing his recent racing at Sha Tin. Last start he was hard in the market but he didn’t fire a shot, perhaps not handling the kickback? If he brings his best, he’s good enough to threaten here.

2 King Alloy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat here. He ran over this trip at Sha Tin last start where he got off speed and while he was never threatening, he did make up ground in a pretty good effort in defeat. If he can use the gate and settle closer, he’ll be hard to hold out.

3 Majestic Delight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came a few weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and worked home well enough without threatening after being tardy away. Good upside to come, he’s a key threat.

1 Happy Boys (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing over 1000m here last start. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never threatening, he did make up headway. Likely spots them a start again but will be strong late and is a first four threat.

4 Amazing Gaze (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks one of the better bets on the card. He resumed a few weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed but worked home with purpose when second to Sturdy Ruby. Tick over trial was pretty good and should lob into a beaut spot from the gate. Keen.

3 Aeroinvincible (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after racing over 1400m at Sha Tin when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat I thought behind Lucky Sam Gor. Should appreciate a rise to the mile and is a key chance.

2 Beauty Glory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has run well at the track/distance previously and is in the mix. He attempted to lead throughout over 1400m at Sha Tin last time and gave a good kick from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through. Dangerous at odds if he gets front end control.

1 Quantum Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when attempting to lead throughout and he gave a decent sight from from the front but just felt the pinch late. Gets J Mac aboard, lands near the front and will take beating.

5 Take Action (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third in the same race mentioned above, won by Super Unicorn. He got off speed and worked home well enough in a good effort in defeat. Purton on and gets the Blinkers on first time.

4 Justify Yourself (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Justify that is on debut. He has had extensive trial work in readiness for start one and hasn’t been too bad to the eye. Not sure he is good enough to make a winning debut but is one to include in exotics.

2 Robot Lucky Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good prospect and despite going to 1200m from 1000m, he’s top seed here. Strong first up win down the straight at Sha Tin when near the speed and found plenty late when required to score. Purton on, good upside to come, he’s the one to beat.

7 Star Figure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one of the leading contenders after a first up second at this track/distance. He got off speed but worked home with purpose in a good return when second. Should land in a good spot from the gate and gets J Mac to steer.

3 Master Phoenix (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming over this trip at Sha Tin where he got back to near last in the run and made up minimal headway in a poor return. He’s better than that and certainly good enough to threaten. Don’t dismiss.

8 King Oberon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a last start track/distance winner from a few weeks ago, getting into a good spot just off the speed before being presented clear and let down strongly late to win. His confidence is up, he can win again.

9 Proud Box (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a nice horse who comes to Happh Valley after his opening two career runs came at Sha Tin. Did a really good job on debut before a solid eniugh effort last start. Maps ideally and should be effective late.

3 New Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to Happy Valley after attempting to lead throughout at this trip at Sha Tin. He gave a decent sight from the front but just felt the pinch late. If he gets front end control, he’s dangerous.

4 King Miles (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play. Several weeks between runs since a first up win at this track/distance when on speed and credit to him, he was there to be beaten but he found under pressure to fend them off and score. Good upside to come, good racing style, he’s in the mix.

2 Power Koepp (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since racing at this trip at Sha Tin. He got off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a solid enough effort in defeat. Good track/distance record, he’s in the mix.

3 Young Emperor (Bet Now:  $SP.00) hasn’t raced since Oct 8 at this track/distance where he got off speed sand failed to come on in a pretty plain return. The best version is good enough to win so I wouldn’t be dismissing him, especially with good upside.

4 Wrote A New Page (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top in what looks a two horse race. He ran over this track/distance a few weeks ago when off speed before being presented clear air and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there when second to Excellence Value. I think the J amay factor can see him turn the tables.

2 Excellence Value (Bet Now:  $SP.00) got a great ride from Purton to win the race mentioned above, driving hard late from off speed to win. The gate does make things tricky but hard to knock the way he’s racing at present.

1 Awesome Fluke (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the first up run, which came over the mile at Sha Tin when on speed and seemingly had his chance but just whacked late. He’s got good improvement to come, he’s a first four threat.

3 Markwin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good each way card to close out the meeting. He ran over the mile at Sha Tin last start when off speed and did make up headway without threatening. Should land in a plum spot from the inside gate and be quite effective late. Happy to be on each way.

1 Speed Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to the mile after a first up win over 1800m here, giving them a start and a beating, producing a strong finale to win and win well. Back in trip should be fine and off that return, he has to be hard to beat.

8 Keefy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is third up from a spell and should just about be at peak fitness. Just looked in need of the run fresh here before going to the Sha Tin dirt when just fair I thought. He does like racing here and third up, hard fit, he can take this out.
