6 My Flying Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top in the opener. He ran over 1400m here three weeks ago where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never threatening, he kept chasing and was an eye catcher late. Like him back to a truly run 1200m, be strong late and be hard to hold out.

1 Snowthorn (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to Class 5 grade after racing in a Class 4 a fortnight back at this track/distance, leading and he gave a decent kick but had no answers late. Back to this level and Purton aboard, he appeals.

2 I P O Bros (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the quick back up after racing on New Years Day at this track/distance where he just got too far out of his ground but was pretty good late in the piece. If he can use the inside gate to advantage, he’s dangerous.

5 Lucky Ranger (Bet Now:  $SP.00) can make a winning debut. Mark Newnham trained three year old that debuts off the back of four trials, winning three of them and moved nicely. The gate is tricky but he does look above average and strikes a winnable race.

1 Majestic Valour (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had two career outings. He was a strong debut winner before racing four weeks ago when down the track and was a bit on the plain side late. Fresh legs and Purton on, he’s a key threat.

2 Holmes A Court (Bet Now:  $SP.00) drops to Class 4 grade after racing in a Class 3 last start where he got back in the run and was never really a factor. Back to this level, he’s a knockout hope if he can use the inside gate to advantage.

1 Ever Luck (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play. He has been freshened up since Nov 30 when placing at this track/distance, landing on speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite see it through. I think with a more patient steer, a bunny to chase, he’ll be far more effective I feel.

9 Lucky McQueen (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been runner up his past two and is knocking on the door. Latest run came four weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there. Has to be respected against these.

4 Majestic Life (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Headwater that is on debut. He has had extensive trial work to get ready for start one and for the most part hasn’t been too bad. I think watch betting and see what it does.

11 Circuit Fiery (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found winning form and he can go on with it. That win came three weeks ago at this track/distance, settling on speed and he found plenty under pressure to fend them off and score, proving quite strong to the line. His confidence is up, he can win again.

3 Bright Day (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance when off speed and looked to be going well but he didn’t really get the clearest of paths and it wasn’t a pretty much. If the breaks go his way, he can win.

9 Flying Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes through the Rising Phoenix race from four weeks back. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just whacked in the run to the line. Maps ideally and overall, this isn’t a deep race, so I’m not dismissing him.

5 Robot Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should prove hard to beat after racing two weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and looked to be going well but when it came to getting clear air, it didn’t eventuate and it ended up being an ugly watch. Purton on and with better luck in running, he’ll take beating.

9 Brownneedsfurther (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1400m after racing over 1200m here a fortnight back when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a pretty good effort in defeat. Like him up in trip and strikes a winnable race.

2 Oldtown (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile here on Nov 30 when down the track behind Audacious Pursuit. Tick over trial was pretty good and he does seem to strike a race with not much depth so I wouldn’t be dismissing him.

1 Audacious Pursuit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had three runs at the mile and is racing like a rise to 1800m will suit. Strong winner two back before a solid fifth two weeks ago, getting back to near last in the run and was good late. If within range, a drag into the race, he’ll take holding out.

5 China Win (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has found positive form at Happy Valley. Can he bring it to Sha Tin? Latest run was over this trip when off speed and kept chasing in a good effort in defeat. Needs luck but he is more than capable.

4 Charity Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Nov 15 when racing over 2000m and worked home okay without really threatening. If he can get a drag into the race, he’s good enough to take this out.

6 Szeryng (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the good thing on the program. He ran two weeks ago over this track/distance when off speed and was under pressure early but he ran through the pain barrier and was strong to the line in defeat when second. Looks to map ideally and is the most progressive of this lot.

4 Aurora Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, getting the suck run in behind before angling clear and he got better as the race went on to win and win well.

1 Celestial Hero (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran midfield behind Aurora Patch in the race mentioned above. He seemingly got into a good spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off. Tricky draw, but commands respect.

8 Little Paradise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the second of good things for the meeting. Several weeks between runs since a track/distance win, sitting on speed and he found plenty when asked to win and win well. Tick over trial was solid, Purton on, he’s the one to beat, and clearly.

3 Invincible Shield (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has had a few runs at 1200m and is racing like a rise to 1400m again will be ideal. He ran third to Sky Trust last start when off speed and tried hard in defeat. Knocking on the door and commands respect.

7 Markwin (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hit and miss but is capable. He ran four weeks back at this track/distance when off speed and just whacked in the run to the line. Maps to do no work and he can run an improved race.

9 Fortune Boy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks ideally suited up to 1800m. He ran over the mile here last start when off speed and worked home really well late behind Invincible Ibis. Like the rise in trip, can settle closer in the run and be effective late.

5 Liveandletlive (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1800m after ​attempting to lead throughout over 2200m at Happy Valley, giving a good sight from the front but just couldn’t quite see it through. Like him back in trip and with a more patient steer, he can be more effective.

2 Stunning Peach (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over 2000m here. He did early work to land on speed and that early petrol burn told on him late in the piece. Couldn’t back him to win but he can run an improved race to run first four at a price.

1 Invincible Ibis (Bet Now:  $SP.00) seems the straight bat play. After being frustrating for punters to start his career, he has become their pal, winning three on end. Latest was over this track/distance three weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive performance. Heading in the right direction, I do feel he is the one to beat.

2 Beauty Bolt (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been freshened up since Nov 30 at this track/distance. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just couldn’t quite get there when a narrow second to Dazzling Fit. Two trials since have been strong, he commands respect.

6 Uranus Star (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after four racing four weeks back over 1400m at Sha Tin. He was wide no cover for the trip and the hard run told late when down the track behind Smart Avenue. Tick over trial last Friday was solid enough, watch the market because I do think he has an engine under the hood.

8 Golden Empire (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a good each way gamble to close out the meeting. He ran three weeks ago at this track/distance. He got back in the run and while he was never really a winning threat he did make up decent headway and was close up in defeat. If he can settle closer, be within range, he’ll take holding out.

9 Tin Fook (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile three weeks ago here. He got keen in the run after getting back to near last but despite that, he did make up headway and was pretty good in defeat I thought. Maps to settle handy, be effective late, he can win.

5 Cheaha (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is in with a shout at odds. He ran three weeks back at this track/distance, getting back in the run and although safely held, he was far from disgraced in defeat. Not sure he wins but can run first four.
