In Her Time was an exceptional sprinter with an explosive turn of foot and a lovely demeanour,” said Paul King of Orbis Bloodstock. “Any horse that can win nine races including two Group 1’s, a further nine Group 1 placings deserves respect.”
Sired by Redoubt’s Choice respected son Time Thief, from the immediate family of The Everest winner Yes Yes Yes, she is from the winning Zedative mare Hell It’s Hot, a half-sister to stakes winners Hot As Hell, Flaming Hot and Craig’s Dragon.
In Her time was bred by the Estate of the Late Denise Cobcroft and descends from John Cobcroft’s former non-stud book mare Supaburn, and her dam Boothi, who became the first mares into the Register of Non Stud Book Vehicle Mares.
The non-stud book mare Boothi and four daughters including Superburn, were the Australian Stud Book’s initial application for mares entry into the Register of Non Stud Vehicle Mares, with their progeny allowed into the Stud Book by the International Stud Book Committee.
“Booker was just outstanding, when I think of the 13 Group winners we have had,” said part owner Barrie Griffths. “Mannerism and the others were good sorts, but I went beyond my normal price bracket to secure Booker as a yearling.”
Oakleigh Plate winner Booker is a full-sister to stakes winner Banquo, both by Written Tycoon. It’s the family of duel Oakleigh Plate winner Umrun, through the stakes winning grandam Creatrix, the dam of Redoubt’s Choice stakes performers Tranquility and Impassioned.
Addition Group 1 winners who are fresh off Royal Randwick following The Championships is the Australian Oaks winner Unforgotten, having won $1.5m and four times Group 1 placed.
By the all-conquering Fastnet Rock, Unforgotten is a full sister to the winning NZ One Thousand Guineas fourth Special Memories, whose stakes winning grandam More Precious is dam of Poule d’Essai des Pouliches winner Matiara and Group 2 winning sires Pyrus and Marathon.
The Queensland Oaks winner Youngstar heads the wildcard entries, and is by the champion Epsom Derby winning sire High Chaparral, having been placed in the Turnbull Stakes and Queensland Derby.
A half-sister to the Flight Stakes winning Adelaide mare Funstar, who is three-quarter sister to the dam of Tofane, the All Aged Stakes winner.
The duel Group 1 winner Samaready heads the elite broodmare lots as former Australian Champion Female Sprinter, and is in foal to Snitzel, being a full sibling to Group 2 winner Exhilarates.
A daughter of More Than Ready, she is half sister to Group 2 winner Night War, being from the winning Sacred Savings mare Samar. This is the family of Almalad and County Tyrone
Also featuring is the winning Dehere mare Cleanup, the dam of Doncaster Mile winner Nettoyer and in foal to first-season triple Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun.
The family of Japanese Champion Sprinter Miler Kinshasa No Kiseki, Cleanup is also dam of city winners Furbish and Pedicel, and is half-sister to Group 3 winner She’s Clean.
