The Oakleigh Plate is one of the feature Autumn sprint races in Melbourne, Australia. The race is held at Caulfield racecourse each year over 1100m during the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival.
The race is at Group 1 level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000 and is at Handicap conditions with the race open to all 3YO’s and older.
The 2018 Oakleigh Plate will be run on Saturday the 24th of February, 2018 at Caulfield racecourse.
The race is suited for runners lower in the weights with history suggesting punters should look to back runners under 55.5kg.
