Queensland Oaks Information

The Queensland Oaks is a Group l staying race and is a time honoured event of the Brisbane Winter Carnival. It is held at Eagle Farm over 2400m racecourse each year (Moved to Doomben this year over 2200m) and is one of the highlights of the Carnival.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000 and is at Set Weights for 3YO fillies.

The 2020 Queensland Oaks will be run on Saturday the 30th of May, 2020 at Doomben racecourse.

The Queensland Oaks is not as strong as the Oaks in Sydney and Melbourne, but champion mare Winx did win the race in 2015, a race which launched her greatness.

The Doomben Roses (2020m) is the traditional lead up, with nine winners over the last decade coming through the Roses, but only Scarlett Lady in 2011 has been the only filly out of those nine to have won both races.
