One of South Australia’s best-known commercial breeding operations, Cornerstone Stud, will conclude its breeding chapter with a complete dispersal of its bloodstock portfolio through an Inglis Digital sale next week.
The unreserved offering will include the entirety of the farm’s commercial bloodstock, featuring broodmares, weanlings, young stock, racehorses and breeding interests.
The dispersal presents buyers with a rare opportunity to acquire bloodstock developed through years of strategic investment and careful selection.
Since purchasing Cornerstone Stud in 2017, John Frankhuisen has overseen a significant transformation of the operation.
Under his ownership, the farm moved away from its traditional stallion-focused model to establish a commercially driven broodmare enterprise built around proven female families with strong appeal to both Australian and international buyers.
The sale marks the end of an era for one of South Australia’s most respected thoroughbred nurseries, with the entire commercial portfolio set to go under the hammer in a single offering.
