Champion mare Winx now tops the list for the World’s Best Racehorse after her dominant win in the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes last month.

In previous rankings, Winx has had to share the top place with dirt specialists Arrogate and then Gun Runner, but has been the best horse on turf for the past two years.

This year Winx has had three starts, all at Group One level, and her Queen Elizabeth win took her record to 18 at the highest level and her winning streak to 25.

Doncaster Mile winner Happy Clapper and three-year-old Trapeze Artist, winner of the TJ Smith and All Aged Stakes, are sixth equal on 123.

Winx who is currently enjoying a spell over the winter will return for a campaign in which she will aim for a record fourth Cox Plate in October after a trip to England for the Royal Ascot carnival was ruled out.
