An overseas trip beckons for Champion mare Winx
Trainer Chris Waller has confirmed at the Racing Hall Of Fame Night in Melbourne that a trip overseas with Champion mare Winx is on the cards as long as she holds her form.
Winx was one of the eleven inductees in Australia’s Racings Hall Of Fame this week joining an elusive group with Black Caviar and Sunline as the only horses to be inducted whilst still racing.
Waller at the event confirmed that Winx will head overseas next year as long as she holds her dominant form which seems likely. No exact details surround where or when however it would a trip to the UK to race during the Royal Ascot Carnival in June would seem logical although a recent trip to the US by Waller could pave wave for her heading to America.
Winx is currently spelling after winning all four of her starts in the Autumn including three Group 1’s.
Winx will target a third Cox Plate during the Spring with her likely lead up runs being in the George Main Stakes and Caulfield Stakes.
