VOBIS race opened up after poor nominations

Racing Victoria has widened the eligibility for Saturday’s VOBIS Gold Ingot (1400m) at Flemington after only five qualified two-year-olds were initially nominated.

The $175,000 race, previously exclusive to VOBIS horses, will now include non-VOBIS entries, with nominations extended to boost the field.

Despite the change, VOBIS-qualified runners will still compete for additional bonuses, including a $30,000 Silver bonus and a $20,000 Gold bonus, distributed among owners, trainers, and jockeys.

Winning owners of eligible horses will also receive $30,000 in VOBIS Platinum vouchers.
