Godolphin Australia today announced that Vin Cox will be leaving Godolphin Australia towards the end of the year to take up a new position with Yulong Investments. Commenting on Cox’s departure, Godolphin’s Director of Corporate Services, Ross Cole, said:
“After six years as our Managing Director, we are very sorry to see Vin Cox leave us to take up this new challenge. Vin leaves us at an exciting time for the Australian operation, having overseen its impressive progression to become Australia’s pre-eminent breeding and racing operation. He deserves enormous credit for his leadership and direction over this period and can take tremendous satisfaction from our results on the track and on our farms.”
Cox said: “It has been an honour to have served in the position of Managing Director of Godolphin Australia and seeing through the vision of its founder His Highness Sheikh Mohammed in Australia. his role brought together my passions of thoroughbred breeding and racing and to combine them within a world-class operation like Godolphin has been an absolute privilege. It is with sadness that I leave what is an extraordinarily strong and dynamic team – Godolphin Australia is in great hands. Nevertheless, I am now looking forward to the challenge of developing a new operation from its early beginnings.”
Cox will leave the position on 1 December 2023. Plans for a new Managing Director of Godolphin in Australia will be announced in the near future.
