Godolphin has started the 2020-21 season in great form in Melbourne and they added another win with in-form mare Tailleur running away to claim the Dr Sheahan Plate (1200 metres) by six lengths.
James Cummings has now had 10 starters in Melbourne for five winners.
Tailleur was ridden by Mark Zahra who took her straight to the front and she has now won four of her five starts and finished second in the other.
Stable foreman Sean Keogh said Cummings was considering starting her in Sydney but identified Saturday’s race as an ideal target and sent her to Melbourne earlier in the week.
