Autumn Glow is set to clash with seven rivals in Saturday’s $5 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick, one of the headline events on day two of The Championships.

Among her opposition are three stablemates—Aeliana, Lindermann and Wootton Verni—while international trainer William Haggas will also be strongly represented with two runners.

Haggas brings the 2023 Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Dubai Honour, along with Caviar Heights, who impressed when finishing runner-up on Australian debut in the Group 2 Neville Sellwood Stakes at Rosehill on March 28.

Also adding depth to the 2000m feature is the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Sir Delius.

The Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) shapes as another highlight on the program, with Pride Of Jenni leading a high-quality line-up.

A total of 14 runners have accepted for the $1 million fillies-and-mares contest, including key challengers Lady Shenandoah, Treasurethe Moment and Lazzura, who will all be looking to topple the Ciaron Maher-trained mare from her inside draw.

Last year’s Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner Ole Dancer is the sole three-year-old engaged in the race.

Attention will also turn to the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m), where a field of 12 fillies has been assembled. Adrian Knox Stakes winner Profoundly will back up against New Zealand Oaks victor Ohope Wins.

Staying ranks take centre stage in the Group 1 Sydney Cup (3200m), which has attracted a full field of 16 runners, with leading trainers Chris Waller and Ciaron Maher well represented.

The Ciaron Maher-trained Mr Monaco heads betting for the two-mile feature, despite drawing the outside barrier.
